The first thing that Akiyama Mizuki realizes after they log off Nightcord, is that they are totally in love.

Who, though? None other than the lyricist of Nightcord at 25:00, Asahina Mafuyu.

She had been occupying Mizuki's thoughts for a while now. However, Mizuki didn't really think much of it.

But it got more obvious over time. The way their eyes drifted over to the purple-haired person subconsciously. The way Mizuki's heart fluttered everytime Mafuyu complimented them, even if the latter said it in such an emotionless voice. The way they would try to spend as much time with their friend as possible.

Mizuki groaned and flopped onto their bed. They put a hand to their cheek, feeling it turn hotter and probably more red. Just thinking about Mafuyu made Mizuki's heart race. Which was most of the time.

Mafuyu this, Mafuyu that. She was perfect in Mizuki's eyes, even if there were some changes to be made. But Mizuki also admired the way Mafuyu desperately tried to search for her true self, unlike them. The world would be perfect if it could just welcome people's secrets with open arms.

Mizuki tried to sleep, rolling around in their bed. It didn't help when a little ping sound suddenly came from their computer. Ah, it was a message.

Yuki: Sleep well, Mizuki. There's more to be done tomorrow.

And then, in their tired and unaware state, Mizuki sent this:

Amia: i love you so much 

Not realizing what they just did, Mizuki yawned and tucked themselves into their bed, dozing off. It was silent for a good few minutes. Until one more message came through while Mizuki was already in dreamland, unable to see it.

Yuki: I love you as well.

Oh how Mizuki would react to that in the morning.
