Zayd's pov──

As she walked briskly to her car, I couldn't help but watch her with a silly grin plastered on my face.

There was something about her fiery spirit and the way she stood up for herself that I found incredibly attractive.

I noticed her glance back at me through her car's rear-view mirror. Seizing the moment, I winked at her, and even from a distance, I could see her mutter something before driving away.

With a surge of determination, I hurried to my car. "Let's see where you live, my kiss stealer." I muttered to myself, revving up the engine. I made sure to keep a safe distance, not wanting her to realize she was being followed.

The streets were quiet, and I navigated them with ease, always keeping her car in sight.

After a short drive, she turned into a driveway and parked her car. I pulled up a little way down the street, rolling down my window to get a better look.

There it was—a charming, suburban house. "So this is my in-laws' house," I said to myself, smirking at the thought.

As I watched, I saw a familiar girl come out of the house. It took me a moment to place her, but then I remembered—she was the one who had angrily taken her away from me last night. This was my chance to gather some information.

Miss kiss stealer disappeared inside the house, and I knew I had to act quickly. I got out of my car and walked briskly toward the girl probably her sister, making sure my approach didn't seem too abrupt.

"Excuse me," I called out, trying to sound as casual as possible.

As soon as she noticed me, her eyes narrowed in recognition. "Wait, what are you doing here?" she demanded, glaring at me.

I chuckled, trying to seem innocent. "Actually, I'm new here and don't know anybody. Can you be my friend?" I asked, flashing what I hoped was a charming smile.

Nida raised an eyebrow, her suspicion evident. "What do you want from me?" she asked bluntly.

Damn, she's so suspicious.

Keeping my cool, I fake chuckled and said, "Come on, girl. A handsome guy is asking you to be his friend, and you're being suspicious?" I added an innocent pout for effect.

Nida rolled her eyes and sighed. "Fine, I'll be your friend."

A genuine smile spread across my face, but inside, I was exulting.

Perfect!

"So, what's your name?" I asked, maintaining my friendly demeanor.

"I'm Nida. Nida Khan," she replied, a bit warily.

"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl," I said, laying on the charm. To my surprise, she blushed, catching me off guard.

Yes, it's working. Let's go, Zayd
