hello everyone!! ah so sorry how weird my updating is!! end of term is approaching for me and I couldn't be any more excited. I look through some of my old notes from this story and... they are so weird so i am so sorry my schedule is nowhere as frequent as I'd like. I really love writing and seeing how happy it makes you guys but honestly I have a love hate relationship with it sometimes. I go through phases so I'd like to say I'll start posting more but idrk. anyway thats my rant haha.
Travis's POV:
Being away from Taylor has been torture. Talking to her, texting her, all of it just makes me want to see her more. I know I shouldn't be so in deep so soon, but there's something about her that makes me want to throw away every standard ideal of a relationship and just be all in. But I know she's busy, god probably the busiest girl in the world, and I don't want to scare her. Despite all this, she infects my thoughts at all times of the day, making me want her beside me, laughing at my jokes, just with me goddamn. And my dreams... they make me feel like some perv. But how can I not? And my social feed definitely doesn't help, I find myself just staring at her before I snap out of it and mentally slap myself.
Just thinking about her puts a puppy dog grin on my face and I know if I keep this up my friends and family are for sure going to notice somethings up, and I don't want this getting out before Taylor wants it to. So, I compose myself and go back to my life for the most part. Except now, I'm constantly sneaking away from crowds to open Taylors latest text or watch the video she's sent me as if our conversations are something so sacred I can't let anybody ruin it.
One evening I find myself bored out of my mind scrolling through instagram when I remember that Taylor has a show tonight. I remember her telling me about how some of her fans are dedicated to the point they even stream whole shows as they're happening. I do some research and eventually find a person livestreaming the concert.
As I click on, Taylors still in her folklore era in her gorgeous green dress floating around the stage. Like I was in person, she still utterly mesmerises me the exact same way as that first night in Kansas City. There's something so special about her that makes my body warm at the thought she might feel the same. A small smile comes onto my face involuntarily as I watch her so happy doing what she truly loves on that stage. The way she talks about it to me, the way she composes herself on stage and the pure joy she elicits in those stadiums every single god damn night is hardly comprehensible.
I watch her effortlessly go through the rest of the folklore set, then the 1989 set before coming to my favourite set, the surprise song set. Even from a blurry livestream, the concert still feels raw, personal and captivating. The lights come back and interrupt my thoughts as the crowd cheers and Taylor grins in her green surprise song dress as she approaches the microphone.
Her hair is slightly curly from all the performing she's done and I smile as I remember what it felt like around my fingers as she softly snored beside me. She grins as she looks around the crowd as they all continue to cheer, still consistently amazed by the support, still as gracious as ever.
"Welcome to the acoustic set Denver!" Taylor says and the crowd cheers in applause. Taylor composed herself a little more before saying, "When I thought about the Eras tour I really wanted to make it special in a way that meant I was able to make every single show I did feel as special as the people I was playing to. And I thought, what better way to do that than playing two different songs acoustically every night meaning I could challenge myself to play songs I may not have played live before or don't typically think of. It also means that earlier on the tour I can really play what I want to the right crowd which is so much more connective. Don't you think Denver?"
The crowd roars in cheers of agreement and Taylor laughs a little before interrupting them by saying, "Okay, okay! I hear you! I'll play some songs!" She smiles and picks up a guitar off its stand and starts to strum some chords.
