Daily Developmental Discipline Entry 31:

The crickets chirped, the winds blew cold, the moon shone brightly in the night sky.

A girl covered in mud emerges from the forest, her movements sluggish and her eyes drooping.

Then she spots a river in front of her, the clearest river she's ever seen. She bent down and drank from the river, drinking the most addictive water she's ever had.

She stands up and attempts to look beyond the river and is only met with a thick fog. Her fingers twitch and her body hesitates for a moment, before taking a step into the river.

Then another, and another.

She walks through the river and closes her eyes, she feels all the mud on her person wash away in the purity of the river.

The next time she opens her eyes, she's out of the river, she's full crossed it and the fog. Unaffected by the fog, she sees what lies beyond the river.

A wide field, as far as the eye can see.

A field of Lilies and Hyacinths with every single one of their colors there somewhere on the field. She smiles and walks through the field, letting her fingertips and palms graze through their petals.

Delighted by this she runs through the field in delight and finds a Cypress tree to rest when she felt tired. She sat down and rested her back against the tree.

Closing her eyes with a satisfied smile on her face. A purr catches her attention, and the cat who made such a purr stood and stared at her from the way she came, it's tail swishing back and forth.

She figured that the cat must have been watching over her for awhile. The cat gives another purr and makes its way to her, staring at her with its big and gentle eyes before standing on its hind legs and placing it's nose on hers.

The girl's eyes widen and the cat lets out a satisfied mewl, sitting on the girl's lap. The girl laughs and gingerly strokes the cat with with fingertips. A gentle smile on her face matching the one the cat had for her. The cat lay on her lap and closed its eyes, and the girl followed en suite.

Knowing, that she is now at peace.
