Chase quietly shuts the door behind him, leaning against it as he takes a deep breath.
It seemed harder than he thought to be as quiet as humanly possible returning home at this hour of the night. However, he knew the boys would be sleeping and was not about to wake them up right now.
"Do you know how sexy you look in black?" Chase hears, catching his attention but admittedly feels a smirk on his face immediately. "You looked damn hot all night during the broadcast."
"You also showcased the racecar driver that you are," another voice fills the dark hallways of the household. "Battling a loose car, kept it underneath you, and still ran right there with the best in the business."
"You could say that you damn well made us both proud." The smirk had only increased with each comment as Chase made his way into the dim lit kitchen where the pair stood at the counter. He glanced between them, a hug for each and a kiss. It was much better than his plan to just sneak into bed without a single word as you could never go wrong with their touch against you.
"I'm glad to have you both running my fan club, even if I looked like a dumbass at times tonight," Chase breaks the silence as he opens the fridge, grabbing a bottle of water. "I was so loose at times that I swore I was going to snap Ricky's head off. I got lucky on some occasions. But it was a fun night to get back in a super late and race with those guys. I had a lot of fun..."
"We could tell by the smile on your face," Alex comments as his eyes don't leave Chase one bit. "I'm glad you had a fun time, even if Kevin kicked your ass. That must have surprised you a bit." Chase nods his head, as he hadn't expected Kevin to run as strong as he did with his return to super late model racing being so short to date.
"He says he wants to run some more races as he had a blast. He kind of joked why he hadn't listened to Dale and done it sooner. I told him he did a better job racing than commentating, jokingly of course." Ryan and Alex could not help but look over a little surprised by the comment, even if it brought a chuckle for Alex. "So why are you both still up? It's literally stupid o' clock. I thought you both would be sleeping by now. I was so scared I was going to wake you both up."
"We wanted to see your pretty face tonight," Ryan confesses as he remembered the brief conversation he and Alex shared about whether to go to bed yet, or to hang out until Chase got home. It turned into watching a couple comedy movies together in hopes the laughs accomplished the goal.
"You didn't have to wait up for me," Chase tells them both. "I expected to see you both curled up in bed together with the dogs."
"Yeah, about that...." Alex brings up a photo on his phone, showcasing their bed which was right now covered with the dogs. It seemed that Sturgis, Blitz and Finn had already taught Huck about the best place to sleep. "We are going to need another bed. That was about two hours ago. I put Huck up on the bed so he could get comfy and the others joined."
"I went to the bathroom and came back to not a single spot to lay in the bed," Ryan adds as Chase just shakes his head in amazement. He was not totally surprised given how the dogs loved the bed and being close to their owners. "So the pair of us came out here and took residence on the couch. We figured it was easier than fighting with those four. Now that you are home, well, we may need to chase them out or we can make our lives easier. We could head to the spare bedsroom instead. That way they get a good night sleep before we fly out to Nashville in the morning."
"You're letting the dogs take the victor-"
"They're absolutely adorable in that photo, Alex. Can you blame me?" Alex can only shake his head in disbelief as he knew he'd never allow this to happen, even if he was dubbed the big animal suck of the group right now.
"Ry is right," Chase comments as he tosses his empty bottle in the garbage. "Besides, it's too late to be fighting with the dogs. We'll just lose valuable sleep time. It's only a matter of hours before we're back up and heading to Nashville."
"I think someone just wants beauty sleep after working hard all night," Alex shares as he wraps his arms around Chase from behind. "You deserve a nice massage and a good night sleep for how hard you raced. I love you, and I'm proud of you." He then places a light kiss on Chase's cheek.
The calming words were all that was needed as Chase easily allowed Alex to lead him down the hallway with Ryan following in toe. The clothes were stripped off piece by piece, with Chase lying on the bed on his stomach. Alex began rubbing each of his shoulders slowly, as Ryan sat back and watched with a lick of the tongue to the lips. He knew after Alex offered the comfort he wanted to for Chase, he would get his own turn.
"I am glad that I waited up for you," Alex comments, despite a yawn escaping from his lips as he does so. There was no doubt he would be looking for an extra cup of coffee when the alarm went off that morning. "I always sleep better when you are beside me. It gives me extra comfort and relaxation."
"This feels so good that I can't complain either," Chase replies as he feels himself relax with each circle made by the fingertips on his shoulders.
