"Get those foam fingers in the air! It's almost time for the last round! But before that: Good news for everyone who didn't make the finals. Since this is a sports festival, We've prepared some super-fun side games everyone can participate in! We even brought in cheerleaders from America to get your blood pumping! Have fun completing the little side games, everyone!" You hear everyone cheer, and again it forms into terrorizing bloody screams. You wanted to cry, you don't know why but you just wanted to cry yourself to sleep...

"After they're done, the sixteen students from the top four teams will be duking it out, one-on-one in a tournament-style fighting competition!" You felt fucking sick... Today wasn't your day at all... "I promise you're not gonna wanna miss these epic matchups!"

"Awe yeah, finally gettin' the chance to show what we're made of, watch these finals every year, and now I'm actually in them!" Kirishima says happily.

"So wait. Is it always a tournament?" Mina asks.

"The final's always a one-on-one competition, but they switch it up every time. Last year it was a foam sword-fighting match." Sero explains happily.

"Come closer and draw lots to see who you're up against. Then enjoy the pleasure of the recreational games before we start. The sixteen finalists have the option of participating in those activities or sitting out." You let out a long sigh, you could sit out perfectly for a small time to talk to Saami. "To prepare for battle, I'm sure you all want to conserve your stamina! I'll start with the first-place team!"

You were the first to draw lots, you have no idea who you picked. One by one your team picks and hands it over to Midnight to communicate it with the others. After some time Midnight spoke again, "Take a look at the bracket, my dears. These are your opponents!" Everyone begins to cheer, you move towards Denki.

"Tell me."

"Ok, so round one is Midoriya and Shinsou, round two is Iida and Hatsume, then round three is Todoroki and Sero. Then it's you and Mina, good luck," You smirk and nod along, you were definitely going to win your round. "After that, it's me and Tsu, after my round it's Yaomomo and Tokoyami. Then Kirishima and Shoji and we end with Bakugou and Uraraka." Denki quickly explains, behind you, you hear what the others thought. Kirishima was stock, Mina was a little nervous, Momo wanted Tokoyami to give it his all, and Bakugou that idiot didn't even know who Ochaco was. In all, everyone was talking to their opponent.

"Ok! Let's press pause for a momentary interlude! Before the battles begin, it's time for some pulse-pounding side games!" You left with a few handfuls of students, the other girls stayed to cheer on the interlude games, and you quickly sped off into the forest. You were far enough away from everyone, you sat down and began to meditate.

The world fades away, and you are left in a serene place, the air cool and a slight breeze in the air the leaves rustling. You took deep breaths in and out, in and out, trying to slow your heartbeat. Before you knew it you open your eyes and you see Saami. It was only through the other avatars did you realized each world, from the water tribes to the air nomads all the way to the earth kingdom and fire nation people have different cultures, you never realize until you see the souls of the others.

"What trouble you?" Saami asks her tone serious and stern.

"The past is haunting me, I nearly killed some children in the haze of the past," You brought up.

"It is common in war to leave imprints on people, others have found ways to dampen the effects of war, I suggest you find yours. I have always found meditation helpful, move like the waves over time even the worst of things will smoothed out by motion." You nod at her words as she vanishes. The water tribesmen were known to adapt to things easily, but for someone like you, it is hard to bend a rock. To round a boulder is to spend years grinding, and you don't have that time.
