Solo ◇Thomas◇

“This is Bertha?” Spencer asked with a wide grin as she looked at the truck in front of them. 

They all looked at the almost broken down truck sitting in front of them with a large set of horns on the front. Only Spencer and Jorge seemed to be happy about this, although no one could understand why. 

“Isn't she a beauty?” Jorge asks, putting a hand on her. He looks her up and down like it's his prized possession. 

Spencer jumped onto Jorge, giving him a hug, “You are officially my favourite!” 

She let go of the shocked Jorge and moved around the truck, looking at it all over and running her hand across it. 

All of them were quite shocked as they had never seen her this excited or happy over something, Thomas couldn't help but smile. 

“I'm taking offence to that, I thought I was your favourite.” Minho put a hand over his heart pretending to be hurt. 

“You can take second.” She waved him off, not even looking up. 

“And me?” Thomas asked. 

Spencer looked up at him, the two making eye contact, and then she looked back to the truck. “I'm taking shotgun.” She said, completely ignoring him. 

The group looked at Spencer to Thomas over and over again, not sure what was going on even Brenda was confused. 

“Sorry hermana, Brenda has already called that one.” Jorge told her, breaking the tension through the whole group.  

“That hurts Jorge,” Spencer says as she moves towards the seats in the middle instead, “Really hurts.” 

Jorge chuckled, shaking his head and getting into the driver's seat as the rest started filling into the truck. Thomas got in next to Spencer, but before she could move, Minho got in on the other side of her. 

She didn't bother trying anything else knowing it would be useless, so instead, she just leaned forwards resting her arms on the seat in front in the middle of Jorge and Brenda. 

“What's so special about this truck that makes you so happy?” Minho asked. 

“Have you seen the truck?” She asks, looking at him in disbelief. 

“I like you more and more, hermana.” Jorge starts the engine.

After a few hours of driving, they come to a stop on the road. Jorge got out first with Brenda following and the rest of the group after them as they gathered at the front of the truck. 

They were blocked by a load of abandoned cars and trucks surrounding the road. 

“Looks like we’re on foot.” Jorge says, glancing back at them. 

They all began walking around the vehicles, looking in some of them for anything that might be useful for them. 

“Anyone else notice how many bullet holes these vehicles have in them?” Spencer called out to the others. 

Before anyone could answer, shots rang out through the mountains. 

“Get down!” Jorge yells, ducking behind a car with Spencer and Thomas. 

“Take cover!” Newt yelled, jumping behind a van with Minho. 

“Hey is everyone okay out there?” Thomas called out to them once the shots stopped. 

“We’re fine!” Teresa yells whilst hiding with Aris, Brenda and Frypan. 

“Anyone know where those bloody shots came from?” Newt shouted.
