It was her first day back at work today and she had never dreaded something more, she hated it, she hated working at a nursery - she did not - she didn't want the constant reminder of what she had lost, what could've been, the what ifs had been haunting her brain ever since she had lost her baby but recenlty she had became better, she was honest, she opened up to reece.
She was scared, she didn't want to go back to breaking down every day because she had lost her baby - why did she lose her baby in the first place? - She didn't want this constant pain in her chest, she didn't want the reminder of her baby everyday, but she got up anyhow, she forced a smile on her face as she brushed her newly cut hair, she had fancied a change.
She felt reece's arms wrap around her waist and she sighed softly leaning back against him "I'm scared" She was honest "I know gorgeous, but it will be okay." He was not honest, it will not be okay - she did not listen to her gut feeling and instead smiled resting her head against his chest, he kissed the top of her head.
"It will all be okay" He lied again, in all fairness, he didn't know, he didn't know this would be their downfall, he didn't know that everything was not going to be okay, "Promise?" She spoke and he lied once again "Promise." He didn't know, he didn't know what was going to happen, he didn't know what was to come, she smiled.
"Come on gorgeous, it'll all be okay" He lied again pulling away and holding his hand out, in response she interwined their fingers together as they walked to the car together, he was a gentlemen as always, opening the car door for her, she smiled once again getting in the car, as soon as he started the car, his hand rested on her thigh and she laughed lightly.
"You always have to be touching me in some way don't you?" He chuckled in response and nodded "It makes me realise you are really here, you are alive." He says, oh, she was not expecting that "I'm sorry." She apologises suddenly feeling upset, she feels like going back to work was not going to end well, and maybe she was right.
"It's fine gorgeous, don't apologise, it wasn't your fault, I just- I thought I had lost you for a good hour, and I was so scared because I don't know what I would do without you." He reassured, he was bulding his own downfall and he had no idea about it but neither did she, sometimes you get lost in the heat of the moment, and his words are going to be his downfall.
