How far would you go?

I'm waiting outside the airport. My husband is helping the driver, which the hotel send us, putting our suitcases in the back of the cab. I place my hand on my sore neck and rub it a bit. I slept to long in a bad position and now I face the consequences. "Way to start the honeymoon", I mumble. "That's that!", my husband says it with a smile while the driver closes the cab. "Time to go". He gives me a kiss and opens the door. "After you, Mrs. Wells." I laugh and give Nathaniel a kiss. "Thank you, Mr. Wells".

The driver takes a seat, looks in the rear view mirror and asks us if we prefer to get to the hotel directly or take the scenic route. Directly to the hotel and in a warm bath, are my thoughts while I rub the sore neck again, but I know Nathaniel would prefer the scenic route. "Directly to the hotel, please", Nathaniel replied. Grateful, but also surprised, I look at him. "It was a long flight, I can imagine you'd prefer to go to the hotel and take a warm bath", he whispers to me. It still amazes me how good Nathaniel knows me, but then again... it is one of the reasons why I almost shouted yes last year to his proposal. I can't imagen live without Nathaniel. "Thank you", I whisper back, "but if you prefer the scenic route..". Nathaniel raises his hand to stop me. "We are here for 14 days, plenty of time to discover this beautiful island."

On our way towards the hotel we cross a beautiful beach. It looks like it just came out of a fairy tale. The palm trees waving with the wind and the clear blue ocean. The beach almost seems blue as well in this light. I gently tap Nathaniel's elbow and nod to the beach. He follows my nod, sees the beach and smiles. I feel safe just seeing his smile. "What a beautiful sight!", Nathaniel says out loud. "This is Blue Coaster Beach". The driver informs us that the beach got this name because of the blue shine on the sand. Quickly I grab my phone, open my notebook and type: blue coaster beach. Saved! No way I'm going to forget this. After a while I release a sigh when I see the hotel appear on the horizon.

We had to wait for a while at the reception before we could get into the room. We booked a standard room but the couple that booked the honeymoon suite canceled! Our luck, because now we could upgrade without extra charges. Don't tell me twice, just get me the room! Downside was all the extra administrative work that came with upgrading. But look a what we got, I'm thinking when I see the room. A massive room with king size bed, 85 inch tv, double sofa and a small kitchen with minibar. The bathroom had a huge (bubble) bath, shower, sinks and toilet separate. This wasn't a hotel room but a small apartment.

The hotel porter carried our suitcases to the room and then took a picture of Nathaniel carrying me over the threshold. Nathaniel thanks the porter with a tip and the porter thanks us for the tip and welcomes us to Auli'na Paradise. I walk across the room to the window and just notice the huge balcony included. I step outside, walk toward the balustrade and lean on it whilst taking a deep breath. A beautiful sunset paints the sky in red, orange, yellow and the water seems to turn black. I can hear Nathaniel standing behind me when I feel his arms around me. He places his head in my neck and also takes a deep breath. "What a view! It really ís paradise." We stay like this, while the sun sets even further.

I don't hear anything, I don't see anything, I just feel the foam and hot water on my body. Loving this bath and my sore neck is almost gone. Though that could also be because of the massage Nathaniel gave me, I laugh to myself. I can't believe what a sweet husband I have, who would do anything for me... but I would also do anything for him.
