Max laid on his bed staring at the ceiling. How could this have happened? He had never fallen for one of his friends, let alone a boy.. What would his parents think? Or anyone else? The thought of him going to school and everyone finding out scared him. Eventually he decided to try and go to sleep, maybe that would take away some of the stress right now. As he shut his eyes a familiar knock echoed throughout the room. He immediately knew who it was.
"Go away Jimmy.." Max groaned in annoyance. Jimmy continued to knock louder and louder everytime until Max gave up, "Ugh. What do you want now?.." Jimmy burst into the room, his energy level way too high for Max to deal with right now. He turned over to face the wall as Jimmy excitedly jumped around the room. "I know why you're in here... you only do this when you're.." he paused for a second, "IN LOVE!!! Who is it??? Tell me!!! I won't tell anyone!!! Maybe."
How does he always know? Am I really that predictable? Max thought, sitting up and staring at him. "I am NOT in love with anyone. Get out." But Jimmy wasn't going to believe this so easily. He spun in circles chanting, "Tell me!! Tell me!!" Ugh. He's never going to leave if I don't.. but would he freak out? I don't know what to do...After some thinking, he took a deep breath and quietened his voice before speaking, "Okay, you're not going to tell anyone, right?" Jimmy nodded, "Alright. It's.. well.. how do I say this?.. he's my best friend. He's.. been my only friend for a while now. So I don't want to tell him incase it ruins our friendship."
Jimmy's eyes widened. The only word that went through his head was 'he'. "YAY!! I know who it is!! It's N-" Max covered his mouth before he could shout for the whole world to hear him. "Just.. don't tell anyone, okay?" Max sighed.
"For McDonald's."
"What?.."
"For McDonald's I won't tell anyone."
"Ugh fine. Now get out." When Jimmy heard this he ran out of the room in excitement leaving Max to question if he did the right thing.
