These creatures started showing up during World War 2 when a baby was born in the Bassett hospital, with deer like ears and spots on his back
The projector showcases a baby being held by a doctor who is shocked by the appearance of the baby having deer ears
This was just a beginning though, many soon started showing up, and soon people started to theorize about how they came to be....even thought being born in an old hospital isn't exactly convincing.
People from different religious views started debating amongst themselves to find out where they came, either created by their gods or they were given a devine blessings. Scientists disagree with that idea stating that this is start of a new evolution
"I do agree it has to be some sort of new evolution" Tinkerer says to himself

Despite all this religious viewpoint some of these communities treat them with respect but it also causes discrimination as well, like example

But in Aztec mythology they are the symbol of death and destruction, this makes humans be weary of them, others on the other hand are bold. Too bold to discriminate
now the scene showcases group of people beating up the owl hybrid which earned a lot of gasps

"Aren't they considered somewhat human? Despite having some animal characteristics?" Glory says clearly worried about the hybrids of this world
"It's true they would be considered as one, but with how the mythos portray these animals its gonna be hard for them to get over it" Joseph, Randys dad mutters it out
"But even without the mythos some people can demonize them regardless, which is sad honestly" Curt states his thoughts
But that was in the beginning....at least it's what I've learned from school, over the course of years the discrimination became less and less active, debates are still going on though
