3 hours later, Tobey and Jay still haven't talked after the discussion they had. Jay felt bad for not saying anything but it was too late to say the first word. It was an awkward atmosphere. A very silent one. They sat next to each other, waiting for a word coming from the other. Nothing was said in so long.

Tobey's POV: "Oh gosh. What should I say? He just sitting there, staring at the floor. I shouldn't have gotten mad about it. I know he is going through a lot right now. He just restarted everything. I really want to give him a good fresh start instead of The Administration wasting his new life away. Ugh... I don't know... It seems complicated. I mean, we still need to wait for a promotion to quit... Wait... Wait a second... Right now... Right here... We are not at The Administration... We are- FREE WE ARE IN THE NEVER-REALM! How could've I not thought of it before! We can just... THROW AWAY OUR TRACKERS AND COMMUNICATION DEVICES AND ESCAPE THAT DARN ADMINISTRATION!"

As the atmosphere got more dense by the second, Tobey opened his mouth of excitement:

"JAY! WE ARE FREE!"

"W-wha-?" Jay lifts his head and stares at Tobey with confusion.

"WE CAN LITERALLY ESCAPE RIGHT NOW! WE ARE OUTSIDE THE ADMINISTRATION!"

Tobey gets up and does a little dance.

Jay stares as he tries not to question it. Jay scratches the back of his head, and gets up of the log he was sitting on. He looks at Tobey right in the eyes, staring at him like he was a predator's prey. Tobey, still making that stupid dance, realizes what he was doing was slightly embarrassing. He decides to stop. As he stands straight, his face turns reddish as he stares at the ground, avoiding eye contact with Jay. Jay looked serious, way too serious. It was concerning to say the least. Jay had never looked at Tobey that way before. He takes a deep breath as he says these painful words.

"You are free. So go on. Go live your life, Tobey."

Tobey feels heavy hearing those words coming out of Jay's mouth. Tobey stares at Jay in disbelief. What does he mean you.

"Wha- but you can come too. Didn't you hear what the Administration did to my-"

"Yes I heard you and I understand you want to run away but take in count this is the middle of nowhere and if we don't come back with the shard, they will probably be looking for us. Don't you understand Tobey? We will never be free of the Administration. Once agent, always agent. It is literally the slogan."

"I know but we can find a way right?!"

"Tobey... I can't keep finding new lives. I have to stick with this one even if I don't like it. It is meant to be. You can go if you want, I can find that shard alone and tell them you didn't make it."

"Really?" Tobey said with a saddened voice.
"I- I thought you would understand what the true intentions of the Administration is. They are evil, Jay, EVIL! They KILLED MY SISTER!" Tobey couldn't control his anger.

"Then maybe I'm meant to be evil." Jay said blankly.

In reality, Jay didn't mean it. He knew that. He loved Tobey. He was the only friend he had right now but he also wanted to protect him. He didn't even know who he was. He didn't even know his own past. What if he was evil before? What if he hurt Tobey? What if he always was an agent but he didn't know it? Jay needed to stay put until things went back to normal, even if normal didn't even exist right now. He wanted to cry more, but his tears were already used up. It pained him that he had to be this way with Tobey, but he couldn't let anything happen to him.

After hearing the story about what happened to his sister, he knew he would soon be discovered as the brother of Rose Everoon. He snapped back to reality where Tobey was still standing in front of him in disbelief. He wasn't moving or saying anything. He saw that Tobey had tears building up. He needed him to leave and never return. To never step foot in the administration ever again. He had to give him a final push to the right path.

"Go. Please." Jay said as his voice slightly cracked at the sound of please.

Tobey turned his back on him and started walking. It was obvious he was crying due to the loud sobbing noises he was doing. At a few feet away, Tobey turned his head and met Jay's eyes. Words came out his mouth. Those words weren't pretty. Even if Jay's hearing muffled and he could loudly hear his heart pounding, he lip read what Tobey said. The pain in his eyes told him everything anyway.

"You are such an emotionless monster. A bad friend."
