CHAPTER 28

"Ofcourse! Bakit ko naman kakalimutan yun?" Maloi said then hugged Mikhs.

"Ang pogi pogi mo kanina. Madami nanaman akong kaagaw sayo." Maloi added.

"As if mag pa agaw ako?" Mikhs said then kissed Loi's forehead.

They did their usual night routine, dinner, one movie before going to bed. As Mikhs and Maloi entered their room, kanya kanya namang bukas ng laptop ang mga ito.

It's their habit to check their emails before going to bed, Maloi received a lot of messages from their project partners at sobrang daming gustong makipag trabaho dito.

Mikhs on the other hand received their games in and outside San Franciso.

"Love, I'll be staying in New York for a week..." pag papaalam ni Mikhs dito.

"What for?" Loi said then faced Mikhs.

"We have a game there. This Saturday na flight namin." Mikhs said.

"Okay love, tell me what you need ako na bahalang mag pack ng things mo mamaya madami ka nanamang malimutan niyan." Maloi said.

"What will I do without you? thank you so much love." Mikhs said at nag pacute dito.

"Wag ka nga magpa cute baka mamaya magising nanaman tayong walang saplot niyan eh." Maloi said then gently threw a pillow at Mikhs.

"Ayaw mo ba?" Mikhs said then winked at Maloi.

"Shut up Mikhael may pasok tayo bukas ayokong mapuyat." Maloi said while shaking her head.

"Ito naman nag lalambing lang ako eh." Mikhael said then laughed.

Days passed by and it's time for Mikhs to leave. He'll be in New York for a week kung kaya ay maiiiwan niya muna si Maloi kasama ang kapatid at pamangkin nito.

Mikhs already left at naiwan nalang sa bahay ay ang tatlo.

"Mia, are you sure you're gonna be okay here? I have to go work pa eh." Maloi said habang sinusukbit ang mga bag nito sa balikat.

"Yes ate Loi. Ako na po muna bahala dito sa bahay." Mia said while carrying her son.

"Okay just call me whenever you need anything ha. Wag ka mahihiya." Maloi said then smiled.

"Okay ate. Ingat po kayo papasok!" masiglang sabi ni Mia dito.

Maloi left the house and went to the garage to ride her car. She suddenly felt nauseous at napahawak na lamang ito sa manibela.

She stayed there for awhile habang pinapakiramdaman ang sarili, when she gained her stability she finally drove off to work.

She arrived at her work earlier than usual but her state is not the same. Hindi pa nag sisimula ang working hours niya pero mukhang pagod na pagod ito.

She is at the pantry of their office right now para sana mag kape when she accidentally spilled the coffee.

"Hey are you okay?" alalang tanong ng isa sa mga workmates nito.

"Y-yes I am alright, I just feel tired." Maloi said.

"Are you sure you're alright? You look pale as hell." Her worker said.

"I'm fine don't worry, I just need to drink this coffee then I'll be fine." Maloi said as she was about to walk on her desk when suddenly...

"MARY LOI! OH MY GOD!" sigaw ng katrabaho nito as she saw Maloi fell on the ground face first.

"What the hell just happened?!" Eric said in panic.

"I don't know she suddenly passed out oh my god." The worker said, sabay nilang itinayo si Maloi.

They immediately helped Maloi at agad agad nila itong dinala sa pinaka malapit na ospital.

Maloi was rushed into ER in no time, the nurses called the doctor and the doctor arrived quickly.

"Get the kit and—Maloi?!" the doctor said in surprise. It was Mike, Mikhael's uncle.

"What the hell happened to her?!" Mike said nervously.

"Her co-worker told us that she's quite unstable and pale before passing out." The nurse replied.

They did the safety precaution first before anything else. They draw blood para makapag run din ito ng tests.

After working hard to stabilize Maloi, Mike decided to call their home.

"Hello?" a woman's voice answered from the other line.

"Hello is this Lim's residence?" Mike asked.

"Yes, why?" the woman answered.

"May I know whom am I speaking to?" Mike replied.

"Mia... Mia Lim. I am Mikhael's younger sister. Who is this?" Mia replied.

Mike is puzzled dahil hindi niya alam na may kapatid si Mikhael, "I am a doctor calling from SFH. Ms. Ricalde is currently confined in our hospital."

"What?! Alright I'll be there!" Mia said and ended the call right away. She booked a ride at dala dala pa nito ang anak niya.

Mia is nervous as hell dahil hindi niya alam papunta sa ospital na iyon. Mas kinakabahan siya knowing na nasa ospital ang partner ng kuya niya.

Luckily, Mia booked a very helpful driver. He even guided Mia papasok ng ospital.

"Thank you so much sir for helping me." Mia said before running inside the ER.

"Hello uhm may I know where Mary Loi Ricalde is?" Mia said while catching her breath.

"Are you Mia Lim?" the doctor behind her said.

Mia turned to her back and looked at the doctor, "Yes Sir I am..." she nervously said.

"May I talk to you?? Privately..?" Mike said, sumunod naman si Mia dito sa isang kwarto.

"Before anything else, I want you to know na Filipino din ako. I would like to ask kung nasaan si Mikhael?" Mike said.

"p-PO? Kilala niyo si Kuya?" Mia said in surprise.

"He is my nephew that's why I am puzzled nung sinabi mong kapatid mo siya. Ang alam ko kasi walang kapatid si Mikhael." Mike said.

"To make the long story short sir, I am her adoptive sister. We're not biologically siblings and his dad adopted me." Mia said nang nakayuko.

"Hey don't be afraid okay? It's alright." Mike said as he noticed the anxiety in Mia's eyes.

"Doc may I know what happened to ate Maloi? I am getting worried wala po kasi si kuya dito ngayon." Mia said.

"Maloi suffered a bruise on her forehead dahil bumagsak siya kanina. Her workers said na pumasok siya sa work mukhang matamlay at namumutla and suddenly she passed out." Mike explained.

"We are just waiting for the blood tests and other tests para malaman natin kung ano talagang nangyari sa kanya." Mike added.

"Alam na po ba ni kuya?" Mia asked.

"I asked my secretary to contact him pero kanina pa walang sumasagot. But don't worry hija we're trying to reach him out." Mike said and assured Mia.

"Can I see ate Maloi now? I am so worried about her." Mia said.

"Sure Mia, come with me." Mike said at sinamahan ito sa kwarto ni Maloi.

They entered the room and there they saw Maloi sleeping peacefully. Mia can see Maloi's pale face at ang mga bruises nito sa braso.
