Today one of the servant ask Arika to serve coffee to the bigg office of the mansion unaware about the face that the office is of her father she accepted and go to give the coffee.
When she enters the office,
Arika eyes widened as she stood frozen in the doorway, her gaze fixed on the man standing before her.
Her father, the man who was supposed to love and protect her, had left her alone and scared at the tender age of 6.
Ten years had passed since she last saw her father, the man who had abandoned her without a second glance. The memories of that fateful day still lingered, the pain and confusion etched in her mind like an open wound.
Her father eyes when fell on the person standing in front of her with a cup of coffee somethinh erked in his heart. The memorial of past start moving in front of his eyes like a TV show w.
Her father's eyes, once cold and distant, now swam with guilt and regret. He took a step forward, his hands outstretched in a plea for forgiveness. "Arika, my child .
Arika face soften listening her father's voice and when she listen her name from her father mouse this much sweetly the first time ever in her life blood gush through all over her . A low muffle travels through her ear filled with guilt , longing and forgiveness.
''I...I'm so sorry, my child ''- his voice trembels.
The man who didn't even try to answer someone question is filled such remorse that the three words which he never dream of saying came from his mouth without even thinking.
Arika's gaze never wavered, her expression a mask of stone. She felt nothing, no anger, no sadness, no joy. Just a numbness that had become all too familiar in her life. She had long ago learned to shield herself from the pain of her past, to protect herself from the hurt that her father had inflicted upon her.
"Arika, please," her father continued, his voice cracking with emotion. "I know I can't undo the past, but I want to make it right. I want to be a part of your life again."
As she looked at him now, a mix of emotions swirled inside her. Fear, anger, and hurt all battled for dominance, but one feeling stood out above the rest - fear. Fear that he would abandon her again, fear that he would hurt her again, fear that she would let him in and he would crush her once more. He took a step forward, his hands outstretched, but she didn't move and took a step backward.
Arika's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with thoughts of the past. The memories of her father's abandonment, of the countless nights she had cried herself to sleep, of the endless questions she had asked herself.
Why had he left her? Was she not good enough? Was she not worthy of love?
She nodded her head in no.
A lump form in her father throat, his eyes filling with tears. "I understand, Arika. I'll give you all the time you need. Just please, don't shut me out completely. Let me be a part of your life, even if it's just a small part."
Her mind racing. Why was he here now? Why was he apologizing now? What did he want from her?
Arika's gaze never wavered, her heart locked away behind a wall of fear. She didn't know this man, didn't know if she could trust him. The fear of being hurt again, of being abandoned once more, held her back.
Arika's expression remained unchanged. She didn't know if she could ever truly forgive him, if she could ever trust him again. The wounds of the past ran too deep, the scars too raw.
"You left me," she though. "You left me when I needed you most. You didn't care about me then, why should I care about you now?"
As she stands there, she couldn't help but think about the past. She remembered the day her father left like it was yesterday. She had been playing in her room, waiting for his brothers to come and play with her and make her complete her homework.
She was devastated. She didn't understand why her father hate her that much , why he wouldn't want to be with her. She felt lost and alone, and she didn't know how to deal with her emotions.
As she grew older, she learned to cope with her feelings. She learned to push them down, to hide them behind a mask of indifference. But now, with her father standing in front of her, all those emotions came flooding back.
She didn't't know if she could ever forgive her father. She didn't know if she could ever trust him again. But she was willing to listen, willing to hear him out. Maybe, just maybe, he could explain why he left, maybe he could make her understand.
She is lost in her thoughts when her father voice interrupted her.
Her father , his eyes filled with a deep sadness. "I understand, Arika. I'll give you space. But know that I'll always be here for you, whenever you're ready."
Arika nodded, her heart heavy with emotion. She turned to leave, her father's eyes following her like a shadow. She knew that this was just the beginning of a long and difficult journey, one that would test her limits and push her to the brink of sanity.
But she was ready. She was ready to face her demons, to confront the fears that had held her back for so long. And maybe, just maybe, she would find a way to heal, to forgive, and to move on.
But for now, she just needed to escape, to get away from the man who had hurt her so deeply. She needed to find a way to silence the voices in her head, to quiet the fears that threatened to consume her.
And so she left, her heart heavy with emotion, her soul searching for a way to heal.
