The next day, Tsunade sat in her office, awaiting Kakashi and Sasuke's arrival. The weight of the previous day's revelations still hung heavily in the air. She knew this conversation would be difficult but necessary.

Kakashi arrived first, leading Sasuke into the room. Sasuke's expression was a mix of curiosity and wariness. He had no idea why he was being singled out, but he trusted Kakashi and Tsunade enough to hear them out.

"Thank you for coming, Sasuke," Tsunade began, her tone gentle yet serious. "I asked to speak with you privately because there are some things you need to know before I address the entire village."

Sasuke nodded, his dark eyes fixed on her.

Tsunade took a deep breath. "Yesterday, we captured Danzo and discovered the extent of his manipulations. He has been forcing people to carry out his orders by threatening their loved ones. If they refused, he would kill the most important person to them."

Sasuke's eyes narrowed, anger and confusion flickering across his face. "What does this have to do with me?"

Tsunade continued, her voice steady. "It has everything to do with you, Sasuke. Danzo was the one who ordered the massacre of your clan. He forced Itachi to carry out the deed by threatening to kill you if he didn't comply. Itachi was only thirteen at the time, impressionable and desperate to protect you."

Sasuke's breath caught in his throat. "He did it to protect me?"

"Yes," Tsunade said softly. "Itachi was a victim of Danzo's manipulations. He made an impossible choice, sacrificing everything to keep you safe."

The room fell silent as Sasuke processed the information. His mind raced, trying to reconcile the brother he had loved and hated with the truth he was now hearing.

Kakashi stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on Sasuke's shoulder. "Itachi did what he thought was best to protect you, Sasuke. He didn't want you to suffer the same fate as the rest of your clan."

Tsunade nodded. "It's important for you to understand that Itachi was a victim in this, just as much as you are. Danzo used him, and the elders were complicit in this atrocity."

Sasuke clenched his fists, his emotions swirling. Anger, sadness, and a deep sense of betrayal fought for dominance. "Why are you telling me this now?"

"Because you deserve to know the truth," Tsunade said firmly. "And because we need to move forward, united against the corruption that has plagued our village. It's time to heal, Sasuke, and to honor Itachi's sacrifice by rebuilding and protecting what he fought so hard to preserve."

Sasuke took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "Thank you, Lady Tsunade. I need some time to process all of this."

"Of course," Tsunade replied. "Take all the time you need. And remember, you're not alone in this. We're all here to support you."

With that, Sasuke left the office, his mind heavy with the weight of the truth he had just learned. Kakashi followed closely, ready to offer his guidance and support as Sasuke navigated this new understanding of his brother's actions and the village's dark history.

He needed to think, to process, and perhaps talk to someone who could help him make sense of it all. As he opened the door, he saw Sakura sitting at the kitchen table, reading a medical book.
