Chapter 11

"I guess you're right, daddy. I just...I know it hasn't been long since the nightmare, but still...I fear it will happen again."

"And it may not happen again either, Azura. Causing your own health harm just avoid it will make things worse. Especially as lack of recharge could impact your own system's health after your rebirth. While you won't need to worry right now given you are still inside my gestational chamber, it will impact your health when you are reborn. We will do our best to help you through this trauma, Azura, but you really don't want your health to go backwards. It won't be me who will be reminding you constantly." Azura smiled as she appreciated Optimus's warning. She would try, but it was still a fear she would have for a while. "I cannot force you to recharge, Azura, so it is up to you on what you choose to do. But you should listen to your system when it needs rest."

Azura pondered as she listened to the sound of the water as it was making her feel she was falling deeper into recharge, and she was jolting herself awake whenever she felt herself almost falling into recharge. But it seemed fighting her own mind was impossible. "I guess I should...I cannot fight it...least you know how else to make me fall into recharge aside from going for a drive." Optimus hummed in amusement as she was not wrong. "Ugh...at least you are feeling a bit better, daddy. I'll likely wake again in two hours."

Optimus had no doubt that would be the case, even though his spark would feel joyful knowing Azura would recharge for more than two hours. She needed the rest, and if she could get more than two hours each time she fell into recharge, it would be much better for her. And Optimus hoped to help her with the trauma she has felt from the long dream she had been forced to endure. Especially as Optimus had not found any other clues.

He felt Azura's mind falling into the recharge without anything said to him, and he caressed his abdomen as he was glad, she had fallen into recharge. Optimus sighed as this shower was definitely very welcoming as his body's discomfort was alleviated. He did not know how long it would take before he would feel the discomfort again, but this was a solution, even if it was a short time. Optimus usually didn't take long showers, and only had them if it was necessary. But this was technically a necessity right now.

Optimus took extra care with his aching joints, even though it was a little difficult to massage the joints in his legs, but he was still managing to bring comfort to his body. He was smiling at the relief he was feeling, and he would definitely ensure that Azura would be awake whenever he did shower so she could fall asleep listening to the water. Even though he had not expected her to hear it through the chamber and his own systems, but it was good that she could. Even though it probably was very faint.

He spent at least an hour in the shower before he turned off the water to dry himself and felt the need to ingest some more energon, which he wasn't surprised due to the energon he had purged. He felt a lot better, and he hoped the discomfort would not return too quickly. Azura was still in recharge, which was good, though she might wake again in another hour. Optimus hummed softly as he walked out of the shower and proceeded towards the door of his berth room.

"Optimus, I apologize if I am interrupting anything, but you need to come to the lobby." Optimus was slightly amused at the ironic timing of Ratchet speaking to him. "Something has happened. Agent Fowler just messaged us and told us that Jack, Arcee and Jack's mother are in trouble. Thanks to Mech."

Optimus was not expecting that at all as he widened his optics. "I am on my way, Ratchet." If Jack's mother was pulled into this, Optimus couldn't help but feel responsible. He did have Arcee bring Jack to the base for his protection, but as Mech learned of their existence, their knowledge of obtaining information about the humans on this world make them dangerous to the children's families. "Are they in need of autobot assistance?"
