"Jungkook? Hey, are you listening?-" Namjoon asked, concerned while looking at almost paralyzed Jungkook.

...

Jungkook's mind buzzed with the echoes of Taehyung's chilling words, the room's warped reality dissolving as the dawn's first light crept through the windows. The shadows retreated reluctantly, leaving behind an oppressive silence. Jin and Namjoon exchanged worried glances, their concern for Jungkook evident in their furrowed brows and tense postures.

"Jungkook," Namjoon said softly, "we need to talk about what's been happening. This isn't just about last night."

Jungkook's eyes flickered to Namjoon, then back to the spot where Taehyung had stood. The memory of his cold, emotionless gaze haunted him. "I- I- I don't know what's happening to me..." he whispered, his voice trembling.

Jin placed a comforting hand on Jungkook's shoulder. "We're here for you, no matter what. We'll figure this out together."

The three of them sat down, the tension in the air thick and palpable. Jungkook's thoughts raced as he tried to piece together the fragments of his shattered reality. Every memory of Taehyung felt tainted, like a dark shadow lurking in the corners of his mind.

"Why did you go to that park? Was it- you know, your comfort space?" Namjoon asked, breaking the silence. "The one by the river?"

Jungkook nodded slowly. The park had been a place of solace, a sanctuary where they had spent countless hours together. "Yes, it's where me and Taehyung- I..."

Namjoon's expression was serious. "Maybe we should go there. It might help you remember things more clearly."

Jungkook hesitated, the idea of revisiting the past both terrifying and compelling. He finally nodded. "I don't think its a good idea-"

Jin placed his hands on top of Jungkook's while gently squeezing it. "I am here with you, Jungkook."

Jungkook looked at Jin's worried yet calming eyes and nodded.

They drove in silence, the weight of unspoken fears hanging heavily in the air. As they arrived at the park, the familiar sight of the old oak trees and the gentle flow of the river brought a bittersweet sense of nostalgia. The place felt both comforting and alien, a reminder of better times now shrouded in uncertainty.

The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves, a stark contrast to the vibrant memories Jungkook held of this place. The shadows of the trees stretched long and thin, creating a latticework on the ground as the sun struggled to break through the thick canopy.

Jungkook wandered to the old bench by the river, the memories flooding back in vivid detail. He could almost see himself and Taehyung sitting there, laughing and talking about their dreams. But the edges of those memories were frayed, tinged with a darkness that made his skin crawl.

As he sat down, a whispering breeze rustled the leaves, carrying with it the faint echo of laughter. Jungkook closed his eyes, trying to hold onto the memory. But as the laughter grew louder, it twisted into something sinister, a cruel mockery of their past.

"Do you remember our promise, Jungkook?" Taehyung's voice seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere, wrapping around him like a cold embrace.

You said you'd never leave me.

Jungkook's eyes snapped open, his heart pounding in his chest. He looked around, but there was no sign of Taehyung. The park was empty, save for Jin and Namjoon watching him with concerned expressions.
