Light Banter

"No, I wouldn't hurt you on purpose. You're the only person that has treated me like... I'm human." Sebastian had a slight pause in his sentence but he got the words out even if they were hard to hear as he whispered them. I nodded my head and smiled, I patted Sebastian's tail softly and rubbed my hand up and down in a slow motion, comforting him as he spoke.

"That's what I thought." My words were light as I spoke with a laugh between the words. Sebastian's face became one of annoyance at my arrogant words and laughter.

"Yeah, I bet you had to think long and hard to form that thought of yours. Tell me, does it hurt for you to think with that small brain of yours?" Sebastian's sincere sad attitude was now replaced with mock anger as he hissed his words at me. I placed a hand over my chest in mock shock.

"Says you, fish for brains!" I exclaimed and raised an accusing finger at Sebastian. Sebastian gapped his mouth wide in shock from the light insult. The earlier sad mood was washed away from the room and was filled with light banter between us.

"Fish for brains!?" Sebastian asked loudly as if he didnt hear me properly and needed to confirm that's what I really said to his face. A sly proud grin stretched across my face as if I was the cat that caught the canary. Sebastian scowled at my happy expression and planned to wipe it off my face. Sebastian flicked his whale fin from behind me and pushed me off his tail, successfully making me lose balance and fall onto the floor with a stumble and an 'oof'. "How's the weather down on the floor?"

"You just caught me off guard, that's not fair." I state as I push myself off the ground wiping the dust off of my hands as I rise to my feet to give Sebastian a glare. Sebastian is now the one wearing the award winning grin as he looked down at me while rubbing his top hands together. Looking back to where I laid a second ago instead in my place was Sebastian's whale fin that hit me off of his tail. The fin was huge; it could easily squish me in one swift motion.

"A bit rude of you to do that innit'?" I inquired with a heavy British accent as I lightly kicked Sebastian's tail with my foot. In retaliation to my light kick Sebastian's tail flicked across his tail to hit me away from kicking him.

"Where did the accent come from? You're annoying me." Sebastian told me as he moved his hand to pick me up from under my armpits with his two main hands and took me out from the circle of his tail. My limbs went limp under me as I didnt know what to do with them as I was picked up with such ease. I turned my head to look behind me to face Sebastian.

"Do I even weigh anything to you?" I queried Sebastian's strength as he kept me in his hands not seeming to mind holding me and also not in a rush to me down. Sebastian tilted his head to the side blinking his eye innocently as he looked at me as if he had to register what I said. I was correct when stating that he was as smart as a fish, what was that look he was giving me for?

"No. It's like holding a couple of grapes." Sebastian answered truthfully as he turned me around in his hand so I didn't need to strain my neck backwards to keep looking at him face to face. I laughed as Sebastian compared me to grapes as I'm far from being a grape but I'll take the comparison. "You're as dumb as a grape too, so it fits you well."

My laughter died in my throat as I frowned my mouth and furrowed my brows. I no longer wanted to be compared to grapes as I kicked my legs from under me uselessly trying to kick my way out of his hands. Sebastian laughed loudly at my attempts to wiggle my way out of his hold, knowing that it was useless to try. I stopped my futile movements and grabbed at Sebastian large wrists with my small hands and tried to push them off me just for Sebastian's grasp to not falter in their iron grasp, he even dared to giggle watching me try as if it was the most entertaining thing ever in his life.
