Raquel was a big fan of drinking, and we ended up having to leave early when she started puking in Deb's downstairs bathroom. Between that and the showdown with Elliot, I wasn't sure I'd be invited to the next party that Deb and Larry were hosting, and I wouldn't even blame them. As for Raquel, she had already worn out her welcome, and I couldn't wait to see her car driving away.
When we got back to the house, we got her cleaned up though, and then made sure she got water and Advil before pouring her into Jashanna's bed with a trash can next to her. I just prayed that she didn't puke all over the new bedding and furniture! But with the early night, we all got changed and out of our costumes before the sober girls and I all jumped in the pool to cool off. I didn't stay long, I was already too excited about my evening with Zee, and Gracie and Jashanna were constantly giving me looks that let me know they wanted me to make a move. I was just glad that Hollie wasn't paying attention, or she'd have figured everything out, which I still wanted to wait on.
While they stayed in the pool, I checked on Raquel once more to make sure she was okay, only to hear her snoring away. She seemed fine, so I jumped into my shower, giving everything a nice shave to make things smoother for Zee's mouth to enjoy. I spritzed on a little more perfume, just a touch that she could enjoy when she was up close, and then got into my comfy pajamas. I'd had the same pair since college, and they were so soft that I could never bear to get rid of them. I'd looked for others, but these were just perfect to me even as faded as they'd become over the years. They were also easy to get off and slide hands into, which would no doubt come in handy once the other girls were asleep. I didn't even bother with underwear, since I was hoping I'd be naked as soon as everyone else was asleep.
"Can I borrow your shower?" Zee asked as she slipped into the bedroom, careful to leave the door open as we were behaving at the moment. "I won't be long."
"You would be if I joined you," I pointed out. "But maybe we'll save that for the morning." I pulled her behind the door and then took her in my arms. "Thank you for tonight. It meant a lot that you said those things to Elliot, even if you didn't need to."
She gently kissed my neck, sighing happily in my arms. "Damn, you smell so good, Demi. And I'll always stand up for you. Besides, he was being a complete ass. You can tell who raised your daughters, because they're all good people, just like you. Even Jashanna takes after you in that way. I could tell what kind of person you are the first night we met when you were kind enough to share your room with a complete stranger."
"I'm glad I did," I told her in a soft whisper. "I met an amazing young woman that night. Now, go take a shower and I'll give you a reward for being so good, and a punishment for being so bad later."
"I'll make sure everything is nice and clean for you to make dirty." She sauntered towards the bathroom, leaving my heart pounding in her wake. Damn, this was going to be a good night.
With her in the shower, I made another trip upstairs to check on Raquel and the girls. Raquel was easy, as she didn't look to have moved, and the girls were all giggling in Hollie's room together while talking about the party. It was nice having Hollie home and seeing the three of them together warmed my heart.
"Hey girls. Did you have a good night?" I asked as I joined them on the bed.
"Yeah," Hollie scoffed. "Once dad left, we did."
"And until Raquel puked!" Jashanna added with a laugh. "But it was fun. It was nice to get dressed up."
"You two should come up to FSU with me when you graduate," Hollie suggested. "Come up for a tour and check it out."
