They both finished their food and drinks and decided to just walk around. They were walking on the sidewalk when two other people were walking towards them. Jisung moved closer to Minho to give them room to pass. The two people gave Jisung and Minho a dirty look.
They weren't discreet about why they gave them looks. They loudly muttered slurs about Minho and Jisung, assuming they are a couple when they were not.
As the two passed, one of the individuals bumped into Jisung. Both of their bodies collided. It was obviously intentional from the way he stepped far to the left just as they passed.
Jisung stumbled a bit. Minho wasn't going to let that go easily. He grabbed one of the mens jacket and turned him around.
"The fuck was that about?!" Minho raised his voice, now grabbing the man's collar. Jisung was pulling Minhos sleeve, trying to get him to just stop. Jisung felt stinging in his wrist. Suddenly his sleeve was sticking to his wrist. The contact must have reopened the cuts.
"Fuck off." The man said as he pulled back and walked away. Minho looked back to see Jisung wincing. He quickly turned his attention to the sleeve that had red seeping through.
"Here come sit down." Minho gently grabbed Jisungs shoulders and walked him a little farther to a bench. "Just stay here for a second. I'll be right back okay?" Minho rubbed Jisungs upper arm. Jisung nodded, still in a bit of pain. He wasn't wincing anymore though.
Minho walked into a Walgreens that was just at the corner of the street. Jisung sat there trying to hide his sleeve from anyone passing by.
After a few minutes Minho came back holding a small box that he was already opening. Inside, Minho pulled out white bandage. Minho was about to help Jisung.
"Not... not here" Jisung said, close to tears. He didn't want to disturb anyone around him with the sight.
"Alright. The park is a few minutes away." Minho helped Jisung up and they walked together. Minho kept checking in with Jisung on the pain.
Once they got to the park, they sat under the same play structure. Minho lightly grabbed Jisungs hand. Jisung pulled back.
"It's okay. I won't judge you." Minho sounded so genuine, so Jisung allowed him to continue. Minho very gently rolled up Jisungs sleeve. Jisung sat there emotionless. He felt numb.
Once Jisungs sleeve was up, it revealed a bloody mess. The fresh cuts dripping blood down Jisungs wrist to his hand. The sight hurt Minho.
He carefully started to wrap the wounds up. Jisung didn't react to the stinging pain. He sat there just watching.
"Why.?" Minho asked.
"Dad." Jisung answered in a monotone voice. Minho just nodded and continued until Jisungs whole wrist was covered in the white wrap.
"There." Minho smiled warmly despite the situation.
"Thanks." Jisung put a little smile on his face even though he felt horrible. It was one of the hardest things.
"Parents just suck." Minho chuckled lightly.
"Yeah. I'm sorry I should have called you." Jisung apologized. He felt guilty Minho had to clean up the mess he made.
"Don't apologize." Minho leaned his back against the structure, facing Jisung. He saw the look Jisung had on his face. Minho could see right through him. "Something on your mind?" He asked.
Jisung did have something on his mind. He wanted to stay with Minho again so bad. But he felt so greedy asking.
"Nope! I'm good!" Jisung remembered to put a smile on his face and have a cheery voice.
"You don't have to act. It's okay to show how you're feeling." Minhos words were just so genuine it startled Jisung. He never heard that before. Mostly because nobody could tell he was acting.
"I feel like shit." Jisungs face dropped back to his resting face. He put his knees up to his chest.
"I get that. Need to stay over tonight?" Minho asked. A relief waved over Jisung.
"I mean... if it's not too much trouble- but I really don't wanna be a burden."
"It's totally fine. I really meant it when I said you could come over anytime." Minho smiled. Seeing Minho smile made Jisung have a little smirk. A true one.
"Thanks Min. I really appreciate it."
"No problem. Let's go then, it's cold as shit." Minho and Jisung laughed as they got up. By now the sun was setting.
They got to Minhos house and to no surprise, his parents weren't there. Jisung flopped onto Minhos bed like he's known this room for ages. It was dim in the room, the only light on was a blue-ish desk lamp. The sunset filled the room.
Minho lied next to him as they stared at the ceiling.
"What do you want to do in the future?" Jisung asked as he turned his head to look at Minho. The question was something Minho just couldn't really answer.
"I don't know yet." Minho looked to Jisung. "What about you?"
"Someday I want to be a veterinarian. I really love animals and I want to help them." Jisung lightly smiled at the thought. All Minho could think about was how long he would be alive. Would he even make it to his birthday in December?
They sat in silence. It was comfortable. Just staring at the ceiling with the company of the other.
"You know what's weird?" Jisung suddenly said.
"What?" Minho turned his head.
"We are all just made to die. Live out our short little lives then die." Jisung lightly chuckled.
"Yeah."
"There's just so many things I will never experience. Not enough time."
"Like what?" Minho asked.
"Seeing the world, having normal parents, a calm mind, love." Jisung listed out a few things.
"Love? You've never even had a crush?"
"I've had plenty of crushes. I meant I will never experience someone else's love. Something special." Jisung stretched his arms.
"Oh, no girlfriend?" Minho questioned.
"I'm not into girls. Every boy I've liked is just an asshole." Jisung laughed a bit. "I haven't even had my first kiss at sixteen years old. I'm falling behind everyone else."
"It's okay to take your time." Minho looked at Jisung while Jisung stared at the roof.
"So you've had a girlfriend?" Jisung kept his eyes fixated at the ceiling.
"A few. I don't think I ever really liked them though." Minho shrugged.
"How come?"
"It didn't feel real. I didn't care about them. They never made me feel anything special."
"Damn." Jisung sighed.
They stayed talking for a while. Just about topics that nobody else would truly understand.
When it fell silent again, Minho looked over. He saw Jisung drifting to sleep. Minho smirked a little bit and stayed quiet so Jisung could sleep.
Minho fell asleep shortly after. The room was quiet and peaceful. The only sounds were the very light breathing of the two sleeping boys.
A/N: Woohoo! I'm loving them so far. It's legit amazinggggg
