Avayan was still sitting there waiting for the doctor to come out. At this time it was becoming very difficult for him to spend every single minute. He closed his eyes and palmed his face.

Anaysha also came there and stood on one side against the wall. She looked at Avayan with disappointment. She was also very scared for Nitya. Seeing Nitya's condition her heart trembled for a moment. She gathered her courage and was about to go to Avayan when Jaivardhan Ji came running there, seeing whom she took two steps back.

Dadi and Rajvardhan Ji were also with him. As Jaivardhan Ji came, he knelt down in front of Avayan, "Avayan! Are you alright?"

Avayan did not respond to his words, he got up from his place and went a little further. Jaivardhan Ji was about to go after Avayan but Dadi stopped him by holding his hand and shook her head.

Jaivardhan Ji looked dejectedly towards Avayan, who was standing in front with his back towards him. Then his attention went to Anaysha and he went near her. There was moisture in his eyes, which at this time was for both his children.

Almost two hours had passed. The doctor had not come out yet and, the nurses who were coming out were not telling anything. Everyone was waiting there along with Avayan. After about half an hour the doctor came out. Avayan came running towards her, "My wife, is she- she okay?"

The doctor said in a soft voice, "Don't worry Mr. Rathore, your wife is now out of danger, she is safe."

Hearing this, it seemed as if Avayan got a sigh of relief which was stuck in his throat till now. He stepped back a little, palmed his face, taking a deep breath.

Then the doctor's voice reached his ears, "But-?"

Saying this the doctor stopped midway. On which Avayan got scared, "But? What happened? My wife is fine, she doesn't have any problem right?"

The doctor said, "Your wife is fine, Mr. Rathore. But sorry, we could not save your child, your wife has lost her child due to excessive bleeding. She had a miscarriage."

Hearing this, Avayan was shocked, his body became numb. His legs could not support his weight, he was about to fall backwards, but his father quickly came forward and held him.

He looked at the doctor, "Ch- child?"

Seeing such a reaction of Avayan, the doctor understood that perhaps he did not know anything about his wife's pregnancy and she said, "Your wife was three weeks pregnant, Mr. Rathore. Sorry for your loss."

And that word 'was' took away even the true courage of Avayan from him.

The doctor continued, "Your wife is out of danger but we will have to keep her under observation round the clock."

Saying this, the doctor left from there but Avayan was still standing there. His mind had gone completely blank. He was neither able to think nor respond.

He removed his father's hands from his shoulders and moved a little further from there. Tears welled up in his eyes. Nitya's smiling face was appearing before his eyes again and again, who suddenly started seeing him crying.
