Did I take it too far?
Tw: They get a little freaky (:3rd Person POV
Agent Dark and Agent Azure were curled up on the couch, their bodies pressed close together as they shared a bowl of popcorn. The flickering light from the TV screen illuminated half of their faces, the other half cast in shadow. They were watching some cheesy romantic movie, laughing and making fun of the over-the-top acting and dialogue.
Dark wrapped his arms around Azure as he cracked a dad joke, pulling her closer to him. Hailey looked up at him, her heart beating a little faster. She loved it when he got this close, when his eyes were fixed on hers and his body was pressed against hers.
Agent Dark leaned down, his lips hovering just millimeters from hers. He could feel the heat radiating from her skin, the way her breath caught in her throat. He knew she wanted this as much as he did.
He brought his lips to hers, kissing her deeply and passionately. She responded eagerly, melting into him as their bodies pressed closer together. They lost all sense of time and place, completely immersed in each other.
Eventually, they pulled away, both of them breathing heavily. They stared at each other in silence for a moment, their eyes filled with a mixture of love and desire.
His hands roamed over her body, pulling her even closer to him. He could feel the heat radiating from her, the way her body responded to his touch. It was like electricity running through his veins.
Dark's kisses grew more insistent, his lips moving from her neck down to her collarbone. He wanted to taste every inch of her, to make her feel as wanted and desired as she made him feel.
Agent Azure's hands were clutching at his shoulders. She was lost in the sensations he was creating, her mind clouded with desire and need. She didn't want him to stop, didn't want this moment to end.
Agent Dark continued to kiss her skin, moving down to her chest, his tongue tracing patterns on her flesh. He could feel her heart racing beneath his lips, her breaths coming in short, ragged gasps.
He knew they should slow down, that they were getting carried away, but he couldn't bring himself to stop. He wanted her, needed her in a way that was almost primal.
Azure was lost in the moment. She could feel the heat building inside her, like a fire burning out of control. She wanted him so badly, wanted him to take her right then and there.
But just as things were heating up, the cheesy romantic movie they had been watching ended, snapping them out of their trance. They broke apart, both breathing heavily, their eyes meeting in the dim light.
"We probably should slow down," Dark said, his voice hoarse with desire. He could feel his body still thrumming with need, but he knew they needed to take it slow.
"Yeah, we should," Azure agreed, her breathing still erratic. She could feel her body yearning for more, but she knew he was right. They needed to take a step back, to bring things down to a more manageable level.
They sat in silence for a few moments, both of them trying to regain their composure. The tension between them was palpable, the desire still coursing through their veins but tempered by a sense of responsibility.
Agent Dark broke the silence with a smirk. "That movie..."
Agent Azure chuckled, punching him lightly on the shoulder. "Hey, you were as into it as I was!"
Dark feigned innocence. "Me? No way. I was just pretending to enjoy it so you wouldn't accuse me of having no taste."
"Oh, really?" Azure laughed. "So you weren't swooning over the romantic gestures and cheesy lines?"
Dark raised an eyebrow. "Swooning? Never. Maybe you were swooning over them, but I was just trying not to laugh at how absurd it was."
"Oh, you're such a liar," Azure accused, still smiling. "I saw you tearing up when they finally got together."
Agent Dark snorted. "I just had something in my eye."
"Yeah, sure. A tear in your eye." Agent Azure rolled her eyes. "You were totally emotional during the whole movie, don't deny it."
Agent Dark mock-gasped. "I was not! I was the epitome of stoicism. I didn't show an ounce of emotion the entire time."
"Uh-huh," Agent Azure teased, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Because that's why you kept pulling me closer and whispering how romantic it was. Totally emotionless."
"Okay, okay," Dark relented, laughing. "You caught me. Maybe I was a little bit moved by the cheesiness of it all. But you can't blame me, that movie was like a Hallmark card come to life."
"I know," agreed Azure, chuckling. "It was like they put all the most cliché romance tropes in a blender and hit 'puree.'"
Dark nodded. "And the dialogues... God, it was like they were trying to set a record for most times the word 'love' could be used in a single scene."
"And the music," Azure added. "Those dramatic violin swells every time someone kissed... it was so over-the-top."
"Exactly," Agent Dark agreed. "But you have to admit, it was kind of fun to laugh at it together."
"Yeah, it was," Agent Azure said, leaning her head on his shoulder. "But now I think we should get some sleep. It's late and we both have work tomorrow."
"Yeah, you're right," Agent Dark agreed, standing up and holding out a hand to help her up. "But can we agree on one thing before we go to bed?"
Agent Azure took his hand and let him pull her up. "What's that?"
Dark wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer again. "That the next movie we watch will have zero romance and ten times more explosions."
Azure laughed, tilting her head back to look up at him. "Fine, but only if the soundtrack is exclusively heavy metal."
Dark laughed at her demand. "Deal. Now let's go to bed before you talk me into watching another movie."
They walked together towards the bedroom, still bantering back and forth about the pros and cons of different action movies. As they got ready for bed, they kept the conversation light, the atmosphere between them relaxed and comfortable.
When they finally got into bed, they settled into their usual positions, with Agent Dark's arms wrapped around Agent Azure, holding her close. He pressed a gentle kiss to the top of her head. "Goodnight," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Goodnight," Azure whispered back, snuggling closer to him. She closed her eyes, feeling the steady rhythm of his breathing and the warmth of his body against hers.
Who could have thought... This was all going to change tomorrow.
