WE ARE IN THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT. . I look around in confusion, and then back at Kol, who is standing in front of me. I want to kill him here and now, but I know I don't stand a chance against an Original. It would be stupid to try.

"Why did you save me?"

I'm worried about my friends that still remain in the school, but I also have faith that Tyler will be able to contain himself.

Kol smirks, leaning against the car behind him. "I wouldn't quite call it saving. I won't let you go off the hook that easily, darling."

He grabs my face and I gasp. "What do you want with me? I'm a vampire. It's not like you're going to feed from me. Or that I'd let you for that matter. I have nothing to offer you."

"Correct." Kol's fingers stroke my cheek and I try to ignore the chills that I get. "I do like myself a pretty little thing with a sharp tongue."

I grab his hands, tightening my grip. "I'm not your thing."

He pushes my hands away, restraining them behind my back. I go to hit him, but he looks me in the eyes. "You will keep your hands behind your back until I tell you otherwise."

I despise the fact that Originals can compel other vampires. I'm supposed to be the dominate and powerful vampire. Instead I'm overpowered by an older one.

I look up, angered that I can't do anything against him. I really need to do what some of the others do and build up a tolerance for vervain. As if a right now, it still hurts me just as much as any average vampire.

"I think that you'll be whatever I want you to be, darling." He circled me. "Now tell me, can you see the Hunter's mark like your brother?"

"No. Why do you care so much, anyways? It's not like you want to cure yourself."

"Correct, again. If you find the cure, you'll raise Silas. The first immortal being. And then we're all doomed."

I scoff. "Like I'm supposed to believe that Silas will bring on the end of the world. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make my sister human again."

Kol cocks his head, his hands reaching for my hips, pulling me in closer. "And you really don't want the cure for yourself?" he whispers.

"No."

"Is it because you like the power? Oh darling, I can make you feel more powerful than you've ever felt."

"Shut up. It's actually because I'm a good sibling and I'm willing to help Elena over myself."

"Do you think you're being a good sister to Jeremy? Forcing him to do this whole Hunter's mark thing?"

"I never wanted this. But Jeremy did it. If he didn't, Elena would have killed herself."

"I think you're forgetting who your real sibling is. Interesting."

"They're both my siblings," I hiss.
