Chapter 3: A Night of Secrets and Shadows
Rudraksh Singh Oberoi
"Careful!" I warned, but she had already lost her balance. She landed on her butt, laughing uncontrollably as if she had just heard the funniest joke of her life.
I couldn't help but smile.
Her laughter was unfiltered, her eyes shined with innocence despite the situation. Something about her was different. In New York, I was surrounded by women who were predictable—either driven by money or lust. But she… she was nothing like them.
And I didn’t even know her name.
My head was spinning slightly from the drinks, and the heady mix of her jasmine scent and alcohol made me feel even dizzier. This wasn't like me.
Before I could second-guess myself, I bent down and scooped her into my arms. She gasped slightly before burying her face in my chest, giggling against my shirt.
“Do you have any rooms available for booking right now?” I asked the receptionist as I reached the front desk.
The girl behind the counter was too engrossed in her computer to even look up. “No, sir. We’re at full capacity.”
"Book one under the name of Rudraksh Singh Oberoi," he said, his gaze still on Shivanya, who was now tracing patterns on his shirt with her finger, lost in her own little world.
The moment the receptionist heard his name, she froze. Her head snapped up, eyes widening in shock.
"S-Sir?" she stammered, quickly straightening in her seat. She had heard that he had left the club earlier, yet here he was, holding a woman in his arms—something completely unexpected from the reserved and cold businessman.
"Yes. Book the room," Rudraksh repeated, his patience thin.
"Y-Yes, sir!" she fumbled, her fingers flying over the keyboard as she hurriedly secured the most expensive suite available. She didn’t dare make him wait.
A staff member rushed towards them with the key and bowed slightly before leading them toward the private elevator. The receptionist exhaled in relief, grateful that she hadn’t made any mistakes—otherwise, the consequences could have been severe.

Rudraksh entered the suite, shutting the door behind him with a nudge of his leg. The room was grand, but he paid no attention to the luxury surrounding him. He carried Shivanya to the bed and gently placed her down.
