She had no answers. And she wasn’t ready to find out.

Ignoring the pain, she hurriedly grabbed her scattered dress from the floor and slipped into it. Her hands shook as she fumbled with the zipper, her mind screaming at her to move faster.

Her gaze flickered toward the bed one last time. He was still fast asleep, his bare chest rising and falling steadily. His dark hair was tousled, his lips slightly parted.

She hesitated, her eyes misting over.

He won’t even remember me....She was sure. This meant nothing to him.

Without thinking, she reached for her phone and snapped a quick picture of his sleeping form. A bitter smile played on her lips. "I’m sorry," she whispered, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

With one final glance, she turned toward the door. Every step felt heavy, but she forced herself to keep moving. She needed to disappear before he woke up.

Because what happened last night… it could never happen again.

A Familiar Face at the Exit

She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t notice the person in front of her until she walked right into him.

"

Shivanya?"

Her head snapped up, and her blood ran cold.

Balraaj.

A knowing smile curved his lips as he held out an envelope.

"Here. Your payment."

She blinked in confusion. "What?"

"Your money. You were nowhere to be found last night. Where were you?" His gaze sharpened, as if he was piecing things together.

Her stomach twisted uncomfortably. Did he suspect something? If she told him then he will tell her grandma.

"I was… I was here only," she stammered.

Balraaj crossed his arms. "Funny. I heard Rudraksh Singh Oberoi was with a woman last night in this club. And now here you are, sneaking out of a VVIP room early in the morning."

Shivanya's breath hitched. She could feel the sweat forming on her brow.

No. No. He can’t find out. No one can.

"Oo yes, my money! Thanks, Balraaj!" she interrupted quickly, forcing a smile as she snatched the envelope. Before he could question her further, she turned on her heels and dashed toward the exit.

Balraaj narrowed his eyes as he watched her retreating figure.

She’s hiding something.

Rudraksh groaned, his head pounding like a jackhammer. He blinked a few times before slowly sitting up, rubbing his temples.
