"there all done" Izzy says proudly looking at her work. she had tangled flowers with every bundle of curls and Theodore's head was absolutely floral. "oh my god teddy you look adorable." she gushed as the girls joined in the fan girling.

it was Izzy's complement that made him want to run around the school with flowers in his hair. her validation that made him feel the slightest bit of worth.

"moving on" says Theodore as he grabs the bottle skilfully spinning it. it lands on Enzo. 

"well Lorenzo, truth or dare?" 

"if that's the standard of dares y'all give around here truth all the way" Enzo says looking at Theo's mass of hair wondering in sheer horror if he might have to do the same.

"English or Spanish?" smirks Theo 

"WHOEVER MOVES FIRST IS GAY" yells Izzy delighted at the expressions on her friends's faces. of course it was Draco who was balanced on one arm because he was readjusting himself on his armchair. Draco groaned as his arm cramped threatening to give away under his weight.

"goddamn Theo" mutters Draco as he readjusts himself. the others roar with laughter.

still in tears from laughter, Enzo spins the bottle. this time it lands on Izzy.

"Isabella, truth or dare?" 

"call me Izzy man, my name is so long. dare all the way" 

"Well Izzy, I dare you to sit in Mattheo's lap."

a groan escaped Izzy. as if grabbing his hand out of fright at the train hadn't been enough now she had been dared to sit on the annoying guy's lap. she could feel Theo's arm around her stiffen and Mattheo's smirk grow. 

"shut up" she mutters as she pulls out of Theo's arms and sits stiffly on Mattheo's lap. she could feel the slight bulge of him against her back but she ignored it with a hidden smirk that she was the cause for it.

"oh but I didn't say anything love" smirks Mattheo knowing he had hit a nerve.

Theodore was not the only person surveying this interaction with gritted teeth. Maddy knew something would go down unless Theo was distracted. so she quickly rushed the game along, but Theo's eyes remained fixed on Izzy and Mattheo. 

as the game went on, Izzy could feel herself get stiffer and stiffer. she was sitting upright in Mattheo's lap refusing to lean on him.

"I don't bite Izzy, you can relax." says Mattheo feeling her stiff stance.

Izzy got a devious idea. said she could move hadn't he? she carefully readjusted herself on Mattheo's lap sitting right over his apparent arousal as he hitched a breath. with a smirk izzy moved just slightly over it enough to tease him.

"fuck you" Mattheo groaned but she could tell he was enjoying it. 

just then the bottle lands on Mattheo. "Mattheo truth or dare?" says Draco 

Mattheo contemplated his options. dare would probably mean moving and getting up, leaving Isabella. "truth"

"who do you think is the most attractive girl in this room?"

this was followed with a prompt "Isabella"

Izzy had not been expecting this. yes he flirted with her a few times. yes she had just teased him, but he didn't really think she was attractive did he? why had he said that?

Isabella was not the only one contemplating. Theodore was contemplating furiously on what would be the most painful form of death, being thrown down the astronomy tower or pushed into the Slytherin's fireplace. he was absolutely furious with Mattheo. from the second he had seen him he had known he was nothing but trouble. what right did he have confessing Izzy was attractive? getting Enzo to dare Izzy to sit on his lap? how dare he?

Izzy in his opinion deserved more than a one night stand. she deserved love, attention and devotion. he could give her that. but he could never really muster the courage to tell her that, horrified to ruin their friendship. so he stood from afar, watching as she navigated through her love life, watching with a pain in his heart whenever she went out with other guys, knowing he didn't have the courage to do the same.

this was why Blaise said "well y'all I think we should end here. I'm tired and we have classes tomorrow."

this brought back everyone from watching Izzy and Mattheo as followed by a flurry of goodnights everyone went to their dorms. Isabella had turned to wish Theo a good night but just as she had said "good night teddy" he had walked off. maybe he hadn't hear her, thought izzy wondering why he hadn't turned. why would Theo ignore her? they were the best of friends.

she returned to her dorm quickly knowing the others would have questions. just as she suspected the moment she entered she was greeted with giggles. "oh my god Izzy way to go" "Mattheo is whipped I swear" "YOU SHOULD'VE SEEN HIS FACE WELPPPPP"

Izzy shook her head laughing as she fondly gazed at this chaos she called home. home was the word that suited the feeling that came over her whenever she joked with Maddy, when she listened to pansy talk about Draco, when she ranted to prissy, when daphne stole her food, when Blaise let her paint his nails, when Draco told her he liked her brother, when she saw harry at breakfast, every moment she spent with Theo.

this was her home. Hogwarts was her home.
