SONG-ONESHOT2 : MESSENGER IN FLAMES ╶song by Cepheid╴ ╶(P/n) &&Mercury(&Sol)╴
【☿&🐚(&☉)】 (P/N)
LIGHT; SEARING THE SKY DEVOTED OF VOID. Mercury had rushed back to the solar system, holding a scroll or sorts in his hand. He ignored the menacing gaze his star was giving his scarred face, and the eyes of the other planets that surrounded the star as he had called upon a meeting. Breathless yet, he remained in the center of his fellow planets, standing in front of the star he orbits. Facing the flames, the messenger conveyed the fate of the solar system, not before voicing out for permission from Sol. "I- have received a message from the Milky Way..concerning of the fate of some." His words pique'd the interest of the celestials around him, even (p/n) themself. Sol nodded, gesturing him to read out what he received. He cleared his throat, nervously fumbling the scroll he held.
"..sol will consume," he stopped briefly, eyes shaking at the words that were written. Gasps of surprise were heard around him, as the planets were in concern of the future. He held his breath, continuing on.
"..Goddess; Venus, will fall," he stuttered, not believing of what he was reading out. Venus himself became silent, his head lowered. Mercury shook his head, but Jupiter beckoned him to continue.
"..fires, will scorch Earth's(Gaia's) heart once more," said planet froze, his eyes widened slowly in fear as his best friend and moon hugged him tightly in comfort. Saturn was saddened, Jupiter was surprised.
"..Luna's eclipse;" he glanced at the moon, who looked back at him with confusion, wanting to know why he was mentioned too as he was a mere moon. "Will not forestall, celestial downfall." Mercury stopped there, sighing to himself as the celestials around him began to speak among themselves about it. His star was silent, so he thought that Sol was most probably thinking deeply. As he glanced around, his eyes landed on (p/n), or you, who was talking to Neptune and Uranus. You looked back at him, despite not being able to see, and voiced out your thoughts.
"Isn't there supposed to be more, Mercury?" You said, catching the attention of the others as they nodded silently. "How did you-..?" the smallest planet cut himself off, sighing as he remembered why. Milky Way's favorite, no wonder. "Right...okay. Uh.." He looked back at the scroll, eyes scanned lower and lower until he spotted what he was supposed to read.
"You can't, flee from your fate. Nothing will save you from calamitous embrace-" ─ "A destiny, etched in stone?" You continued, the smile still kept firmly. "..written and bound." He mumbled, nodding to your words in confirmation. "What..?" Mars whispered, being in deep thought. "What does that even mean?!" Luna voiced, not believing that there's no way to change fate even after knowing it's truth. "..please continue, Mercury." The sun spoke, his silence ended.
"..dance, your encore with grace. The stars; will witness your empyrial ballet," the 'your' in his sentences were heavily worded, making the others think it was targeted to someone, but who?.. He cleared his throat once more, a sign that he was going to finish off the message.
"Erupt into violent rage, embers and ash remain." He gulped, letting himself breathe after holding it for so long. Finishing off, he could hear chatter among the planets, negative ones in fact. While that, he could also hear the sun sighing from behind him, making him glace at said star. "S...something the matter, sun?" He asked lowly, the scroll in his hand crumpled due to his nervousity making his hands shake.
"..." The silence was quite deafening for the small planet, as he felt like he did something wrong. The star made his first movement, glancing at the main character; (p/n). He cleared his throat, catching the attention of all the celestials in the solar system. "..lord/lady (p/n)." You looked back at him, your head tilted in fake confusion. "Yes, mr.Sun?" You smiled, then being elbowed to the side by Uranus, who shook his head at your faking.
"Do you know who the 'you' in the message was referring..?" ─ "who else, Helios? "
