WITHIN THE HALLS OF EDEN HEIGHTS INSTITUTE walk eight students. These eight individuals are the best and brightest of them all. Each chosen not just for their potential but for the hunger that lives in them.

Ambition, obsession, desperation.

The thirst to rise, to dominate, to be remembered.

But let me make one thing clear from the start: they are not friends. And more importantly, they never will be.

This story begins and ends with eight strangers. No dramatic confessions, no tearful reconciliations. Just eight individuals bound by circumstance, unraveling thread by thread.

You might expect a twist, a redemption arc, maybe even a hint of found family. But this isn't that kind of story because these aren't those kinds of people. What exists between them isn't friendship. A bond, yes -- but not the kind that holds people together.

Rather the kind that haunts them. That tears them apart from the inside out. The kind they'll spend years trying to forget but never truly will.

Eight students were chosen -- handpicked by me. But don't get it twisted. They weren't dragged into this. They said yes. Willingly. Eagerly. They wanted in. No one forced their hand. No one made them sign the dotted line. The only ones to blame... are themselves.

By the time you read this, I'll be long gone. And maybe you're wondering why. Why did everything unfolded the way it did?

It's because people like us. We choose ourselves. And we do it knowing what it will cost.

Maybe I was the villain? Or maybe I was just the one who stop pretending. In another life, maybe it ends differently.

But not this one.

Where the echos remain,
𝒫rudence 𝐸verson
