"You sure you don't want me to take you?" Mike asked us.

Ashlyn shook her head, standing up and stretching her arms over her head. "It's not too far of a walk... plus the Jeep doesn't have enough seats for everyone."

"Well actually..." Mike looked proud of himself, which made me raise an eyebrow as to what he was going to say. Honestly, I'm sure it wasn't bad. "I made a small upgrade to the Jeep."

"This is not ideal." Tyler said coldly, tense from beside me. Mike had added three seats in the back, only a seat belt over our waist.

"But at least it works!" Mike laughed.

I looked over to see Aiden grinning at Ashlyn, leaning over to her seat and showing her something on his phone.

I leaned back in my seat, ignoring the pain in my back from doing so. I looked out the window instead. I didn't need to look at them.

I didn't need to know why I wanted to see what it was on the phone, either.

"You kids have fun! Call if you need anything!" Mike yelled from the Jeep.

"We will!" Ashlyn said.

I hesitated when I looked at Ashlyn and her headphones. Her earplugs weren't going to be enough, so I had let her use some headphones that block out sound. They were mine when I was a kid for the fourth of July, because I didn't like loud sounds. They don't bother me now.

"The arcade's fun and all..." I said hesitantly, wincing a bit as my face stung from the effort of talking. "But are you sure you'll be okay, Ashlyn? We're supposed to be celebrating, and relieving some stress. I don't want you to be uncomfortable the whole time."

"Yeah, you said these are pretty great at canceling out noise. I should be fine." -she removed her hands from the headphones- "Plus, I've never been to an arcade, so I'm kind of curious."

"Me too," Logan said from beside Ben.

We walked in, and I saw Aiden staring at Ashlyn. I just decided to ignore it, until I saw her staring at the DDR machines. I grinned, ignoring the pain. She had one in her room. "I bet I can beat you," I said from beside her.

She smiled. "How much?"

I grinned back. It was as if the pain on my back and face was subsiding... "Twenty bucks."

"Oh! Oh! I'm good at DDR too!" Taylor said from behind me.

"I-I know how... but I'm not good at it..." Logan said, playing with his fingers.

So, Taylor and Logan ended up playing as me and Ashlyn played. Of course, Ashlyn won, and I gave her the money as promised.

Afterwards, I took off my jacket, tying it around my waist. I elbowed Tyler. "Last one to the basketball shooting is a rotten egg!"

Tyler chuckled and ran after me, which of course, I beat him. I grabbed a basketball, and jumped up, shooting it into the basket.

DING!

I stuck my tongue out at him, and then let Taylor play. Ben gave her a thumbs up, while Ashlyn told her to aim up a bit more. I panted, laying down on a bench next to Logan, who was watching them shoot hoops.

"They suck at that," I muttered, closing my eyes.

Someone suddenly pulled my ponytail, and I looked up to see Tyler. "C'mon shorty, we're going to play something else."

I rolled my eyes, wincing at the pain in my face, and when he started to walk off, I jumped onto his back from the bench. My upper back stung as I moved my arms around his neck. Tyler stumbled a bit, then situated me and started walking again like it was normal. I mean, I did do it all the time.

"Ooo! Ooo! Air hockey!" I said, pointing at it, my upper back burning.

Tyler sighed playfully, and walked everyone to it. I jumped off his back, "Who dares challenge me?"

Ashlyn walked over and grabbed the blue mallet (the hand held disk thingy), and I grabbed the red one.

I grinned. "Bet."

Long story short, we had to stop because Ashlyn accidentally hit the disc into Logan's forehead. To treat Logan after he got hit, we went to a gun shooting game. It was interesting to watch because Logan actually knew how to shoot a gun...

Then we went to a punching one, where Ben just punched it and got us a whole pile of tickets that Aiden laid in.

Then the door opened.

I felt my heart quicken in fear, and my eyes widened.

"I think this is enough for all of us to split and get decent prizes!" Taylor said cheerfully, crouched next to the pile of tickets Aiden was in.
