Living at the Stray Kids dorm has become your new routine, much to the playful dismay of Hyunjin. It started innocently enough—a night here, a weekend there—but soon, you found yourself staying over more often than not. With your brother Jisung's encouragement, the dorm has become a second home, a place where you're just as comfortable as you are in your own room. Most of the guys treat you like a little sister, just as Jisung does, but Hyunjin? He's different.

From the moment you started staying over more frequently, Hyunjin has made it his mission to tease you at every opportunity. It's never mean-spirited, but there's an edge to it that keeps you on your toes. Whether it's a casual comment about how you "don't even live here" or a smirk when he catches you curled up on the couch, he never misses a chance to remind you that you're a guest—even if you feel like anything but.

At first, it got under your skin. You're close with all the members, but Hyunjin seemed to take special pleasure in riling you up. However, as time passed, you found yourself playing along, firing back with quips of your own. It became a game, a constant back-and-forth that neither of you were willing to lose. In some ways, it was your way of connecting with him, a way of making your place in the dorm feel even more like home.

Today is no different.

You're sitting in the living room, comfortably nestled in a blanket, watching a movie on the TV. Most of the guys are out, but Jisung had told you he'd be back soon. You're used to having the place to yourself, but you're not surprised when you hear the door open and close behind you.

"Still here, huh?" Hyunjin's voice cuts through the quiet, laced with that familiar teasing tone. He strolls into the living room and drops onto the couch beside you, one eyebrow raised as if he's caught you doing something suspicious.

You don't even look away from the screen. "Yep. Got a problem with that?"

He chuckles, stretching his long legs out in front of him. "Not really. Just wondering when you're finally going to admit that you live here now. I mean, do you even remember what your own bed feels like?"

You roll your eyes, finally tearing your gaze away from the TV to give him a pointed look. "I go home plenty, thank you very much. Maybe you just miss me when I'm not here."

He scoffs, but there's a playful glint in his eyes. "Miss you? Please. I just enjoy the peace and quiet when you're gone."

"Right," you say, leaning back into the couch with a smirk. "And that's why you're always the first one to notice when I'm not around."

Hyunjin narrows his eyes at you, but he can't hide the small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "You're getting bold, Y/N. I liked it better when you were shy and didn't talk back."

You laugh, feeling a familiar warmth in your chest. This is how it always goes with the two of you—an endless loop of banter that somehow never gets old. "Well, get used to it. I'm not going anywhere."

He shakes his head, but there's something softer in his expression now, something almost affectionate. "Yeah, I've noticed."

For a moment, there's a comfortable silence between you, the only sound being the soft hum of the TV. You're about to settle back into your movie when Hyunjin shifts closer, his gaze fixed on you in a way that makes your heart skip a beat.

"Seriously, though," he says, his voice quieter now, less teasing. "Why do you hang around here so much? Not that I mind, but... don't you ever get tired of us?"

You blink, caught off guard by the sudden change in tone. "Tired of you? Never. Besides, it's fun here. You guys are like family."

Hyunjin's expression softens, but there's still that familiar mischief in his eyes. "Family, huh? So, that's all it is?"

The way he says it makes your breath catch. You've always had a complicated relationship with Hyunjin—this mix of playful rivalry and something else that you've never really put a name to. But now, with him looking at you like that, you're starting to wonder if maybe there's more to it than just teasing.

"What else would it be?" you ask, your voice barely above a whisper.

He leans in slightly, his gaze never leaving yours. "I don't know. You tell me."

There's a challenge in his words, one that sends your mind racing. You've always felt a certain way about Hyunjin, something that goes beyond just friendship or the brother-sister dynamic you share with the others. But you've never let yourself dwell on it too much, not when it's so easy to just laugh it off, to pretend that it's all just part of the game.

But now, with him so close, his eyes searching yours for something you're not sure you're ready to admit, it feels like the rules of the game have changed.

You try to find something clever to say, some way to deflect like you always do, but the words stick in your throat. Instead, you just look at him, really look at him, and you realize that maybe you've been avoiding the truth for longer than you thought.

Before you can second-guess yourself, you lean in and kiss him.

It's a soft kiss, tentative and unsure, but the moment your lips touch his, you feel a rush of warmth flood through you. For a second, Hyunjin doesn't move, and you're terrified that you've made a huge mistake, that you've just ruined everything. But then his hand comes up to cup your cheek, and he's kissing you back, his lips gentle but insistent, as if he's been waiting for this just as long as you have.

When you finally pull away, you're both a little breathless, and Hyunjin's eyes are wide with surprise. But there's something else there too, something that makes your heart skip a beat.

"I knew it," he murmurs, his thumb brushing softly against your cheek. "You do like me."

You blush, but there's no point in denying it now. "Maybe a little," you admit, your voice shy but honest.

Hyunjin's smile widens, and for once, there's no teasing in his expression, just a warmth that makes you feel like you're exactly where you're supposed to be. "Good," he says, leaning in to press another quick kiss to your lips. "Because I like you too."

You can't help but smile, feeling a sense of relief and happiness flood through you. "So, does this mean you're going to stop teasing me about not living here?"

Hyunjin laughs, the sound light and genuine. "Not a chance. But maybe I'll tease you a little less now."

"Great," you say, rolling your eyes but unable to hide the smile on your face. "Just what I always wanted."

He grins, pulling you closer so that you're tucked against his side, his arm wrapped securely around your shoulders. "Admit it, you'd miss it if I stopped."

"Maybe," you concede, snuggling into his side as you both settle back into the couch.

And as you sit there, wrapped up in Hyunjin's warmth, you realize that you wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The dorm might not be your real home, but Hyunjin is.
