"Go away!" you yelled at Loki through your tears when you spotted him standing framed within the doorway unsure what was wrong. "I don't want to see you!"

"Darling what's wrong?" he pleaded, walking closer and trying to get you to let go of Eir and look back at him only for you to push him away every time he tried to touch you. "Tell me please."

"Yet again I find out you are hiding things from me!" you sobbed out. "You promised! You promised me you wouldn't do that again!"

"I'm sorry." He realised what you might be crying about but he had expected a slap from what Eir told him. "Though I did think you would be angry, not upset." Eir shot him a warning look which he missed. "This is not the reaction I was expecting."

Of course I'm angry!" you yelled at him. "Why did you think it was a good idea to keep things from me again?!" You let go of Eir and she stood up to leave you both to have this argument alone.

"Good luck," Eir told him as she walked past and out of the room, making sure the door was shut.

Thor walked into the healing rooms as Eir was shutting the door to see if everything was alright after Loki had rushed out of the council meeting earlier.

Hearing you screaming at Loki behind the door where you had been resting he raised an eyebrow before looking at Eir.

"I take it she's awake?"

"Yes."

"Are they ever going to not argue?"

"I doubt it." She shook her head. "Now come and give them some privacy."

You know your mind tried to tell you rationally that you had spent time while asleep processing and hearing more information about who you were, but seeing Loki all that came to the forefront was the fact he had kept a secret from you. Again. And it drowned out everything. Everything was just a dream. A dream your mind gave you while you recovered. It had to be, none of it was real.

You dreamt of the dead because at the end of the day you still missed your son.

In your anger you had walked closer to Loki and raised your hands to push at his chest, barely budging him with your attempted shove.

"What is with this stupid idea you were looking for stuff on the Fae?!"

You tried to shove him again while Loki just stood there and let you. He knew you wouldn't actually hurt him and it might help get your anger out.

"Why do you even think they have anything to do with me?!"

Giving up when he didn't give any reaction you stomped back to the bed and turned to face him.

"How the hell does a freaking apple even bring people back from the dead?!" you exclaimed and ran your fingers through your hair to try and stop the tears.

"I am me! ME!" you screamed at Loki with tears running down your face. "This is just some nightmare I have yet to wake up from! I fell asleep under that tree and all of this is just a heat induced hallucination!"

"Are you finished?" Loki caught the baleful look you sent him and realised he said the wrong thing. If looks could kill he'd be dead thrice over.

"It's not real! None of it is real!" You threw Frigga's letter at him before crouching back down to the floor and sobbing.

Loki just stood there letting you finish your outburst, not flinching as it hit his chest and fell to the floor. He resisted the urge to move closer and hold you, it probably wouldn't help the situation.

Gazing down at the letter and noticing his mother's handwriting, he looked back at you and swallowed nervously, this was not going to end well no matter how he worded it...and he knew exactly how you were feeling. He had wanted to avoid this.
