"Baby Bear and I were together that day, and Chaeyoung called her about it. I immediately jumped on X and, let me tell you, I was so proud of our Jendeuki. She totally owned that hot kiss with Lisa. I felt like a proud mama watching her daughter make such great life choices." Irene said, beaming. She leaned her head against Seulgi's arm, who was busy playing Call of Duty with Jeongyeon.
"Does Lisa even know Jen was the one who told her classmate to spread it online?" Sana asked, her voice laced with curiosity.
Jeongyeon, her attention glued to her phone as the game heated up, simply nodded. "Yeah," she replied.
"Did she get mad about it?" Nayeon followed up, glancing at Jeongyeon beside her.
Nayeon's brows furrowed a little as she looked at Jeongyeon. As she waited for the answer, a mix of concern and curiosity swirled in her eyes.
I'm just curious how Lisa deals with Jen's...well, let's just say, her unique way of thinking, she thought, her voice a soft murmur in her head. I can still remember how Hanbin used to lose it whenever Jen did something he didn't like. Jen would do something a little off-kilter and he'd act like the world was ending. It was one of those 'shoulda-seen-it-coming' moments we all missed. He was a control freak, always losing his cool over the smallest things that Jen did. It was like he wanted to put her in a cage and throw away the key.
Jeongyeon simply shook her head, a dismissive "No" escaping her lips. Her eyes remained glued to the phone screen, her focus completely on the game.
Seulgi, however, took a moment to answer, her gaze never leaving the screen too. "We value our privacy, obviously," she said, her voice calm and steady. "But Lali would never get mad over something like that. Especially if Jennie did it for a good reason. She wouldn't intentionally do something harmful, right? Besides, trust us, Lali is way too soft on Jennie to get mad at her."
A collective smile bloomed on Nayeon, Sana, and Irene's faces. Seulgi's words, though delivered nonchalantly, were a soothing balm to Nayeon's worries.
"We stan an understanding boyfriend," Irene stated, her voice tinged with admiration.
Nayeon nodded, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. "Lisa deserves all my respect for that. Jen might seem normal on the surface, but her mind works like Baechu's — it's just... different. They're both a little crazy, but Jen is the calmer version. Lisa should just accept it, she's going to have to deal with Jen's craziness whether she likes it or not," she said, a light chuckle escaping her lips.
"She loves her wholeheartedly," Jeongyeon added, her voice soft but firm. "She'll embrace everything about her."
Chanty nodded in agreement, her eyes reflecting a quiet understanding.
While they were deep in conversation on the couch area, Rosie's cheerful voice suddenly cut through the air from the other side of the rooftop.
"Hey guys, hotdogs and barbeques are ready!" she called out, her enthusiasm practically vibrating through the air.
Everyone's heads whipped up towards Rosie, except for Seulgi and Jeongyeon, who remained engrossed in their game. Rosie and Jisoo walked over, Jisoo carrying two massive platters piled high with hotdogs and barbeque, while Rosie proudly trailed behind, balancing a selection of assorted sauces. They settled onto the couch across from Jeongyeon, Nayeon, and Chanty. On the left side, Sana, Irene, and Seulgi were settled in.
"We perfectly grilled them," Jisoo declared proudly, placing the platters down on the table with a flourish. She beamed at their handiwork, her eyes sparkling with satisfaction.
