"Why am I here again?"
Gene sat in front of a balcony overseeing the luxurious stage, people running around getting things ready as other well-dressed people sat down, talking about their wealth. He sighed as he turned to the side, seeing Garroth eating some food, Ivy using some form of binoculars seen in opera's and Aaron silently watching people. "Amelia's commands, duh." Garroth uttered as he stared at the people around them--nothing out of the ordinary.
'I know Amelia sent us, but who exactly are we looking for?' Aaron stared about as he soon saw the lights dimming and a spotlight forming on the stage. "Ladies and Gents, may I present the spectacular and gorgeous chemist that brought you here today--Ms. Lilac!" Claps and applauds were heard as the four felt a shivers down their spines, watching as Lilac take stage with a charming smile.
With her opening speech done, Lilac had gone through some of her recent projects. "--and make no mistake, these pretty gems are closer to miracle workers! Remember, these are infused with my lovely chemical--Emerald Tinkers!" She gestured to the screen as it showed green dust.
People let out 'oohs' as Gene tsked. "A drug--that's what she infused with the million-dollar gem." He felt disgusted by the fact that people were so interested in something so dangerous--and them knowing it was such.
"Of course, this movement in science is not thanks to all of you, my supporters. Had you not funded this institute, the project will lay in mush." Her smile completed the speech as people uttered praises, unaware of the students watching up top. Garroth gritted his teeth as Aaron turned to him, patting his shoulders. "She's... lying." They turned to the black haired male beside them, seeing his darkened gaze as he glared at the woman in the front. "She lied. She used us, she even--" Ivy held his hand as she saw him shaking from anger, unable to comprehend the lies being told.
She gave a solemn gaze as she faced them. "I do feel sorry. I had a good friend die for the testing of this product. I forever honor her death. Some of the others I treated greater as now... as everyone knows--" she forced a tear to slip out. "--it is painful to lose anyone." She uttered as everyone heaved a breath, telling her some encouragement.
A loud scuttle was heard as popcorn and a liquid were thrown from the second floor seating, the three were shocked as they saw it splashing Lilac who moved back with shock--they turned to see Garroth standing, his arm up with an empty bag. His eyes glimmered green with anger. "Liar! You used your own child to conduct these experiments! You're good for nothing, scientist!" Lilac was wide eyed as she hid a glare in her expression, guards rushing for the group. Gene sighed, standing up. "You used your family for this project! You deceived the poor--you are all fucking criminals and monsters! Trusting that woman!--let me go!" The black haired male struggled as he watched his other friends get pulled away, Aaron's eyes slightly gleaming as he glared at the guards--all of whom shuddered away as the rest felt confused. "C'mon, we gotta go." He added before the rest followed him to the exit.
Outside, they soon led themselves to a nearby park, settling down by a food truck. Garroth sighed, fiddling with his coat. "Sorry..." they turn to him, seeing his sadness and anger as Gene patted his back, shrugging. "It's fine. We got what we needed anyway." Ivy pouted as she opened her phone, making her look through her messages when a notification popped out, widening her eyes as she gasped. Aaron peered on the screen.
"What the?!" As they read the article, Emerald Potions produced back in the day were done through a specimen named Travis, giving him miraculous powers and capabilities. Gene gritted his teeth as he snagged the phone. "The hell, who can post this without Travis' knowledge?!"

The dystopia outside was nothing compared to the chaos in the school after a teacher ridiculed a student in front of a crowd, throwing the paper on her face. "What do you have to say for yourself, Michi?!" The teacher jutted finger on her shoulder as she looked down, swallowing the lump in her throat. Her pride scratched as she was framed for stealing the answer sheets that she never knew about. "I-I... never stole i-it..." "then why were they found in your locker?! Explain?!" People murmured, making her feel small.
She hated the feeling of being ridiculed, she hated their gazes on her, she hated the feeling of being singled out as the bad person. She bit her lips as tears formed in her eyes, unable to hold back the surge of emotions, balling her fist. "I told you! I really didn't take it!" She looked up at him with a tearful gaze.
The teacher gritted his teeth, ready to give her a piece of his mind when a figure approached from the side, making him gaze at him. "I got a message from my brother, apparently he found this when he was trying to locate where he lost his wallet a few days back." He lifted his phone's screen as the teacher squinted. He was alarmed when he saw a student putting some papers into a locket before rushing out--soon when the owner of the locker opened it, he had gone past her and seen the papers. "O-oh..." he turned to the meif'wa and was about to apologize when he felt a tight grip on his shoulder, seeing a scary gaze on the male's eyes. "Say, are you a new teacher by any chance? I certainly didn't see professionalism here." He said in a low voice before patting the guy and turning to the lilac haired meif'wa.
She felt a tear fall as she pouted. "V-Vylad..." he smiled as he took her hand, moving off as the crowd made a way for them, both waltzing off to the library. They hid behind the bookshelves as he saw her slump down to the floor, curling up. He sat by her figure, watching her cry as he gave her gently and comforting pats in the back, making him silently think to himself.

On his way home, Aaron was surprised to suddenly be shoved into a car. He was sat between two suited men, about to fight back when he caught sight of a familiar woman, looking distant as her gaze laid on him. Aaron saw her appearance disheveled, paint on her hair, egg shells on her clothes, making him surprised as she gave a darkened gaze.
"You... ruined everything... your friends ruined everything!" She yelled as she recalled the people surrounding her flashing camera shots as reporters got inside.
She gritted her teeth, glaring at him. "Trying to kill my reputation? Go ahead... it'll be fair anyway--" she gave a maniacal smirk as she held her head, laughing before dropping the threat. "--right... little Ultima?" She saw his eyes go wide as he removed the guards grip on him, soon moving to hold her collar. "Too harsh? Lycan's have a little secret of being wolfies, right?" "Shut up!" "It's fair... if I know--can you imagine what happened while you slept, lil doggy?" Aaron's eyes were wide, recalling the woman who always visited his home when he was young. He gasped, hands shaking as he was pulled back, the doors opening, revealing his parents' home as a tear fell. 'I was no different... to them. I was an experiment... too?' He was shoved out the car as Lilac gave a parting word. "Make sure to ask them well." Then leaving, happy to know the chaos she caused.
