The next morning, Kenna went into the bathroom and drew herself a bath. She sank down into the tub, feeling completely lost, her grief consuming her. She couldn't understand how her tears could keep flowing endlessly. As she slid down under the water, she let out a scream that was muffled by the water, releasing some of the pain that had been trapped inside her.

She kept her head submerged, holding herself down with her hands gripping the edges of the tub. Distantly, she heard voices and someone yelling her name, but she ignored them. As she began to feel lightheaded, she saw Happy reaching his hands out to her. She reached back, desperate to touch him, but her hands met only water. Then, in a flash, he was gone.

Kozik was jolted awake by Nico calling out for Kenna. He hurried to the hallway and then to the bathroom. "Mommy!" Nico shouted again. "What is it, buddy?" Kozik asked, his voice filled with concern. "Mommy," Nico repeated, pointing to the closed bathroom door.

"Kenna!" he shouted, banging on the door. There was no response. He tried again, "Kenna! If you don't answer, I'm coming in!" Still no answer. Panic rising, Kozik braced his shoulder against the door and forced it open.

He saw Kenna lying limp in the tub. "Stay in the hall," he said firmly to Nico, who ran back, wide-eyed, to the hallway. Kozik pulled Kenna out of the tub and laid her on the floor. "Kenna!" he yelled, frantically covering her with a towel he grabbed from the rack. She started coughing up water, and he quickly turned her onto her side, patting her back to help clear her lungs. "You scared the hell out of me! What were you thinking?" he yelled, his voice filled with a mix of anger and relief. He brushed her wet hair away from her face.

"Get out," she croaked, her voice weak. Frustrated and upset, Kozik stood up, pulled the plug from the bath, and said, "Think of Nico!" before walking out to the hallway. He found Nico, who looked scared and picked him up gently. "I'm sorry I yelled, buddy. Do you want something to eat? Mommy will be alright," he reassured him softly, and Nico nodded. After settling Nico with some food, Kozik immediately called Chibs.

Meanwhile, Kenna had managed to sit up against the tub, shivering as the reality of what had just happened washed over her. She hadn't meant for it to spiral so far; she just wanted a moment of peace, an escape from the noise in her head. As she dressed, her reflection in the mirror showed her bloodshot eyes, swollen from the weight of her tears and lack of air. The exhaustion on her face mirrored the turmoil in her soul. With a heavy sigh, she joined Kozik and Nico in the kitchen.
