18) Plans & Thoughts

Aizawa stared back at the man unable to speak much nor would like to elaborate further. 
"Oh maybe we'll see her with Mi-"
"No." 

Hizashi whipped his head back to Aizawa who just looked forward and walked to the doors with the help of Hizashi. "Why not?" 
"I... don't think I could yet." 
"Woah, what's the matter?"

Aizawa sighed as they stumbled out of the room to make their way to the lift. 
"...I'll explain later time."

You knocked on the door labeled 'Room 407' and went inside after earning a soft 'come in'. Mina, Uraraka, Ochako, Shoto, and Bakugou were there already. Mina was surprised to see your figure emerging and sat up immediately. 
"Y/n! What're you doing here..."

She was clearly worried for your well-being after seeing her bandaged up. It wouldn't be the first time you have seen her like this. The stress from earlier morning and the sudden destruction occurring clouded your mind even more. This vacation seemed more gloomy as each day passed. You moved to the side of Mina's bed as Shoto and Bakugou excused themselves for your girls' privacy. Or more like Shoto did but dragged Bakugou with him judging by the harsh insult on the duel-headed man. You breathed out softly taking her hand.

"I'm so glad you guys are okay..." You said as you looked at the other 2 girls who were as equally hurt as Mina. They gave you a reassuring smile as they gathered up by the bed. 
"We're sorry to worry you, babes. But knowing you? There's gotta be something bothering by the look on your face," Mina said smiling as she squeezed your hand back reassuringly.
"Ah, am I that readable?" 
"We're just very good friends." Ochako charmed in as she held your shoulder. Yaoyorozu pat your back softly trying to cheer you up. You sighed taking a deep breath as you lifted your head with a reassuring smile.

"Thanks, guys. But I was about to text you guys about my change in plans." They let you speak keeping quiet so you took the leverage to talk more.
"My mom's boyfriend contacted me to ask me to come back to Japan. She got into an accident and I need to go check on her as her child.."
You spoke as calmly as possible but the fidgeting on your nails gave away your nerves. Mina let out a small gasp as she reached her hand onto yours.
"Aw, babe.. oh.. when do you leave? Is she okay?"
"She's currently hospitalized. I'm not sure what had happened." You sighed holding your hands close to your chest as you spoke. All three girls try their best to cheer you up with warm smiles. They always do. That's why you treasure them. Irreplaceable even.
"Don't you worry. She'll be good as new in no time!"
"Yep. And whenever you want to talk, we're here"
"You should go, babe.. when's your flight? Do you want any of our friends to take you there?"

You tried to deny their offer. As the recent chaos has shown all of your friends, you don't want to bring the media with you for the sake of your travels.
"What was the mission."
"Y/n... Today's mission. Included almost every hero from U.A to exploit." Started Yaoyorozu as she leaned back on her bed.
"You may know the paranormal liberation front from the paperwork you managed back at your agency." Said Ochako. That you are aware.

You work at the front desk at Ryukyu Agency. Organizing plans and contacting heroes in the agency is one of the requirements. Thus you are aware of why these girls are here, this is also the reason why you didn't want to come with them. In case you will bring trouble as you are not a certified hero to protect yourself in a foreign country. 
"We have to stay for some more days to get more information on the kids who had been trafficked" Ochako spoke as you sat down more comfortably to listen.
"I'm sorry we couldn't come with you. In such situations as well.." Mina said her head dropped as she adverted her gaze away. You smiled softly, hand reaching out to caress hers. 

"It's okay. I'm sure it's not dangerous nor severe."
You'd like to think it was a mere burglary but with the news of the paranormal liberation front, you're not quite sure if your family is safer than you are or not. Anyone capable of protecting your family is you. Even if it's just the two of you.
"You will call us if anything, I mean anything, suspicious or gives us a clue okay?" Mina held your hand hurriedly as her eyes demanded your attention. You nodded squeezing back her hand as you reassured the three girls that you would update and provide information when you got home. 
"...your nails are kinda chipped now, Y/n" Mina spoke, her hand gently brushing your fingers with a worried frown with a contrast of her smiling lips. You look down at your own hand. The paint wearing thin already. You should probably paint new ones when you have the chance. "Yeah, I guess." At one point you knew, it was a way of Mina saying, 'Take good care of yourself.' 

You bid farewell to your girls. They all wish you the safest travel as you plod outside to go back to your hotel. You waited for the lift to arrive on your floor as your mind shifted from point A to point B until its ring snapped you back to reality. You let the metal doors embrace the closure. The opposite lift reveals the breathing room.

"You gotta make up your mind, Shota." 
"About what? I'm perfectly in my destined path."
"...you are as stubborn as ever. Awfully getting good with your 'switching' skills."

Hizashi laughs as he helps both him and Aizawa out of the lift. He helps the limping man as they slowly walk to their checkpoint. "Hey, was that y/n in the lift earlier?" 
Aizawa looked back at Hizashi. "She's probably back at her hotel by now. You're seeing things."
"yeah... probably"

Aizawa didn't want to see you. Not yet. To ask you to help him jog his old trauma isn't exactly his cup of tea. Besides you both hadn't shared more than 100 words... yeah.  They both walked through the halls and knocked on the door. Room 407. The door was easily opened by Hizashi with a warm welcome from the three girls sitting in a group. 
"Hello, sir," Yaoyorozu stated as she bowed towards Aizawa. He returned her greeting with a simple nod as both heroes entered the room. 

"How are everything girls?" Hizashi added pulling a chair for Aizawa to sit on. Ochako smiled towards the man as she answered, "We're doing better now. Our friend came by to visit.". Hizashi returned her smile as he hummed. "Ah really?" He chuckled a bit sitting down on a nearby couch. "Y/n was it?", the girls looked up at the statement. "Yes sir," Mina said confidently as she leaned back on the bedpost. After all, she introduced them. No surprise about that.

"Deku, Bakugou and Shoto would be coming by soon. Deku said he had more updates on Chisaki." Mina continued. Aizawa held the files in his hand studying the information provided for him by Yaoyorozu who had gotten up to fill in the two heroes with their research. 
"...we think he's present back in Japan. Since the chaos would be over the news, he wouldn't be reckless to come over." Yaoyorozu spoke. "If any case, we will have to contact heroes back at our towns to keep an eye out as we stayed behind to keep out for Shigaraki's movement."

The knocking on the wooden door opens to reveal the 3 men who rushed in with the emerald-haired boy holding out more files in his hand. "You guys, I think this mission is not as simple as it might be." With a simple bow to his former teachers, he started to elaborate on his statement. 
"Kai Chisaki, known as Overhaul is indeed working along with Shigaraki. The drugs were just a minor business to the collaboration and the main plan for Chisaki was to produce a new type of nomu with the help from Shigaraki. Similarly as Kurogiri."
