It was late at night. We were in Anvi's room. My girls were sitting all around gossiping stuff. Just then Nisha entered. Well, did I introduce you'll to her?
Okay, she is Kriti's roommate. And our friend. Atleast I consider her to be my friend.
We continued talking while she gave her unasked inputs at time. Though we didn't sideline her rather included her in our conversations. After a while she revealed, "Guys you know, kal drama ke audition hai, and I am sure I am going to be selected. ". "Drama selection? ", I couldn't help but voice out. " Uhh woh. Yeah. ", she held herself back from revealing further stuffs. (Tomorrow there is auditions for drama.)
I want to participate too!
" Kaisa drama,? I want to participate too. ", I further asked her. (Which drama?)
She was hesitant to answer, but nevertheless, since all our eyes were on her, she answered. " Woh humara college intercollegiate event mei participate kar raha hai, ussi ke liye! ", she informed. (Our college is participating in intercollegiate event, for that.)
" You should participate, atleast go for the auditions, Shri! ", Anvi said. " Yeah! Tu toh pehle bhi, school mei acting karti thi na. You should go! ", Sara further said. (Yeah. You used to act during your school days na.You should go. )
I too gave it a thought. Well, I should. Right?

~Days Later~
I was all decked up. Our drama was all set. Yeah. We as a team were participating in the intercollegiate event.
Our mates, which included people from my batch and the seniors had prepared the drama. Well, I went for the audition, and you won't believe, I got selected. And you know what,I was playing the second lead role. Amazing naah? I am slowly coming back to stage events after a gap of nearly three years. And it is a big news.
But today it doesn't feel that amazing.
Grumpy me? Yeah! Hell, grumpy.
Okay I understand he can't be here, he is a surgeon, got many works to do blah blah. I totally do understand, and I myself had told him not to.
Well,he had OPD and then night duty and he also did the evening shift. He needed rest, and so I had only told him not to come here.
But this stupid heart of mine is yearning for his presence. Can a miracle just happen?
All the other group-mates were discussing stuff, practicing their dialogues, telling each other how nervous they were, while I was just sitting there being uninterested in it all.
Come on Shri. You can't be cribbing like this. You yourself told him to focus on his work. It's so wrong of you to expect him to be here. He has work to look after. Stop being a crybaby and cheer up.
