It's obvious you never see your parents, to even the point where you don't even remember the last time they came home. It's almost like they were avoiding you.
"I'm sorry." A voice said in your ear "I didn't mean for it to end like this.
You can barley see, but you can feel the leather of some kind of seat and movement. You're in a car, but who's?
The world registers before your eyes, and you could see the color of your mothers hair. You don't know how you could even remember that to be honest.
"Mom..." You coughed out, throat dry. She put a finger on your lips, "don't talk, save it for the facility."
Facility?
"[M/N], I told you not to say anything." An unfamiliar voice barked, it was coming from the front of the car. You could only see the back of his black hair, but you had a terrible feeling. Did this count as kidnapping?
"Where's dad?" You asked, ignoring your mothers previous request. She couldn't just pop up in your life and tell you to shut up.
"He's...not here" she responded, voice wavering slightly. It's pitch black outside, and all you can see are trees, must be late night. Which means the shift should be happening very soon and you should find out where you are before it does.
"What facility, mom? Where am I-" you had to stop, it was like your voice was a rubber band being stretched too far. Only limited words. You coughed, and what you thought was blood landed on your lap.
It was more of that black goo, and it tasted like shit.
"She's still turning." your mother said quickly, grabbing a napkin and putting it over your mouth "Drive faster, please-"
"Relax, [M/N]. Nothing will slow down the process."
You wanted to scream at the top of your lungs, strangle them for not telling you anything, but your mouth was full with... whatever that substance was. One thing you did notice though, was that the black haired man sounded familiar, you just couldn't put your finger on it.
Soon a building came into view, barely standing out in the plethora of trees and nature. It honestly looked really familiar, like...
you've been here before.
