☆A New Life, A New Me☆

I closed the bedroom door and walked to my bed, going face first into my pillow

[Why did I say that?...They don't know what happened to me. I shouldn't have said that..] I thought as I squeezed my pillow

"Rin, wanna play with...rin?" Len said with worry as he looked at me

Lumine stopped playing his game and got up off the bed and walked towards me

"Rin? Are you okay?.." Lumine said as he got onto my bed and crawled beside me

"No..." I said sadly

Len then jumped up on my bed

"What's wrong? Did something happen?.." Len asked

I lift myself up off my pillow and pull my legs close

"Yeah, I invited Charli to our birthday.." I said

Len and Lumine then both look at me in shock

"What?! Why!?" They yelled

[So loud..] I thought

"I thought if I sent her a card, she would come so I can ask about why she hates our family so much. But, mom and dad didn't like that.." I said

Len and Lumine look at each other, then back at me

"Well, I kinda agree with them. It is dangerous and we don't know what could happen." Lumine said as he played with his sleeves

"Well, I don't agree! I don't think rin's wrong for trying to help. Plus, mom and dad are definitely keeping something secret from us. they're moving too slow! Any longer and something might happen." Len said confidently

"Even so, what rin's doing might start something bad!" Lumine stated

"At least he's trying, Lumine! So far, mom and dad aren't doing anything!" Len says

"They probably are doing something, just not in front of us!" Lumine says

"And what if what their doing is dangerous? We don't know if what mom and dad are doing is going to be any good." Len states

"Not everything is going to be-"

"Can you guys please stop your debating?" I said, interrupting Lumine

Len and Lumine both stop their argument. Len and crosses his arms as Lumine turns away

"Let's just..go to sleep, alright?" I said as I got under the covers and laid down

Len and Lumine both looked at me before heading off to their own beds

A bunch of different kids were now in our house playing around with each other as I watched

[I hope she comes...] I thought nervously as I stared at the floor

"Rin!"

I look up to the sound of my name being called

"Oh, hey rory." I said

Rory stood beside me

"If you don't mind, len told me what happened between you and your parents." Rory says

"Really?.."

"Yeah, are you alright?.." Rory asked

"I'll be fine. Plus, I have to apologize to mom and dad. I think their right, this is dangerous. I should've gotten the card back.." I said

Rory looks at me with a sad smile before speaking

"I don't think you need to apologize for anything." Rory states

[?]

"Why?" I asked

Rory then whispered in my ear

"Go over to where the couches are." Rory says with a small smile

[?]

I looked at her confusingly but decided to check on what she was talking about

[Why did she want me over here? There's nothing-] My thoughts were inturpped when my eyes landed on a certain ginger-haired girl

[!]

[Did she actually come?..] I thought as I walked closer

"...Charli?" I said

Charli turned her head towards me and started walking to me

"There you are, golden boy. I was looking for you! Look, I read your stupid card, so hurry up." Charli stated as she crossed her arms

"Oh, um- I just wanted to ask why you hate my family. Did we do something?" I said to her

She looked at me a bit shocked for a second before turning serious again

"You really don't know?" Charli says a bit curious

I shook my head

"I don't know anything for why you hate us." I said

Charli sighs as she rubs her eyes with tiredness

"Your parents had killed my actual parents during the war to protect something, something dangerous. And whatever their trying to protect is inside of you, something dangerous that if you learned how to use it. It could make thousands of million different alternate universes." Charli says

[...What...]

"What...you- you're joking..there's no way-"

"You don't need to believe me, but know this, golden boy. That whatever's inside of you. I will kill you by all means if it means that this world will be safe and that my parents will know that their deaths were not in vain." Charli said before turning around and walking off to the open front doors

[What?...no, she's-...she's lying, right?....]
