"I'm sorry for being late, I needed to set things up before I leave" Sasuke apologized before he turned his head to the side.

His apology immediately rang alarm bells in Sakura's head "you're leaving? With who? Why?" She asked frantically, wanting to know why her cru-no, her friend, she wanted to know why her friend is thinking about leaving the village.

"Yeah. I'm too weak, to weak to ever protect those I care about. So I need to get stronger, stronger than I've ever been, than I ever will be in this village......and I'm going to join Orochimaru to do that" Sasuke admitted, making her eyes go wide before she slapped him.

"You're going to go with the person that attacked you, cursed you, invaded the village and stabbed our friend in the heart and killed him" Sakura growled out before she slapped him again, wanting to get through to Sasuke's thick skull.

Sasuke didn't say anything, knowing that it was all true. But he needed this, he needed to be stronger and from what he's felt, Orochimaru is the only one that can give him this power.

"I'm sorry Sakura" Sasuke apologized before he vanished and appeared behind Sakura, knocking her out with a swift chop to her neck.

"I truly am sorry"

Sakura woke up suddenly with a start, gasping for breath, looking around frantically. Many questions ran through her mind as she realized where she was.

'A hospital? How did I get here?' Sakura thought frantically, wondering where Sasuke went and what happened after she passed out.

"You're awake!" The voice of her mom exclaimed, making Sakura turn towards her location.

It was then that Sakura noticed that the Hokage, Sasuke's father, was there staring at her with concern.

Sakura's eyes widened "Lord Hokage!" She exclaimed suddenly, getting up from her bed and grabbing onto his cloak, almost falling from how fast she got up, surprising everyone in the process.

"You have to bring Sasuke back!" She exclaimed panicked, the mention of Sasuke immediately getting the attention of the older ninja.

Fugaku kneeled to her eye level and grabbed her shoulders "what happened?" He asked gently but sternly. There was no reason to scare this child, but there was also no reason to beat around the bush.

Sakura's eyes teared up as she remembered what Sasuke told her "h-he....he left the village.....to go with Orochimaru!!!" Sakura cried out, her words made Fugaku's heart drop and for his blood to run cold.

His boy went with Orochimaru? When? How? Why? Has he been so preoccupied with being Hokage lately that he's been ignorant of his son?
How did Orochimaru sink his fangs into his son?

Seeing the histeria that Sakura was in, Fugaku knew he had to calm her down first before anything else happened "It's okay, it's okay, we'll get him back. I'll send out a team to get him now" Fugaku comforted softly, making the young girl calm down a bit, at least to the point that she wasn't full on crying.

Many forget that these amazing rookies, ones that are probably stronger than most chunin, are still nothing but children.

"Rest, I'll handle everything else" Fugaku promised as he laid Sakura down on the bed, her eyes becoming droopy from being so tired for some reason.

He vanished in a swirl of leaves soon after, leaving a shocked couple and a very disoriented child that soon passed out.
