Y/N sat at her desk with Yuki in front of her, spinning her chair around and leaning back casually. They were mid-conversation, talking about their plans for the weekend, when suddenly the atmosphere in the room shifted.

The sound of heels clacking against the floor made Y/N look up, and her heart sank. Oh no... not her.

It was Eri—the same girl Y/N had seen hanging around Akaashi. Eri stormed into the classroom, her eyes locked on Y/N like a hawk targeting its prey. Without hesitation, she marched right up to Y/N's desk, her expression a mix of irritation and smugness.

"What's your problem, huh?" Eri's voice was sharp, and she stood with her arms crossed, glaring down at Y/N.

Y/N blinked, completely taken off guard. "W-what?"

Yuki, who had been chatting animatedly just moments ago, suddenly went quiet, watching the scene unfold with curiosity. But Y/N could feel Yuki's gaze on her, almost like she was waiting to see what she'd do. Y/N could already feel her palms getting sweaty. I'm not good at confrontations...

Eri, however, wasn't backing down. She stepped closer, towering over Y/N's seated form. "Don't play dumb. I'm talking about you being close with Akaashi-kun. You think I haven't noticed? Don't get in my way."

Y/N froze. Her mind was racing, but no words were coming out. She wasn't used to people like Eri—bold, confrontational, and, well...mean. Normally, she'd have shrunk under the pressure, but something about Eri's tone rubbed her the wrong way.

Yuki was watching intently, her eyebrows slightly raised in surprise. What's Y/N going to do?

Eri leaned in, her voice lowering into a hiss. "I'm warning you, stay away from him."

Suddenly, Y/N found herself speaking before she could think. Her voice came out steady, surprising even herself. "Akaashi isn't something you can own."

Both Yuki and Eri blinked in surprise. Yuki's eyes widened, impressed, while Eri took a step back, clearly not expecting Y/N to say anything at all. There was a moment of silence where even Y/N seemed stunned by her own words.

Eri's face flushed red with embarrassment, and for a moment, she looked like she didn't know what to say. "W-whatever," she stammered, glaring at Y/N one last time. "This isn't over."

With that, she spun on her heel and stormed out of the classroom, but not before throwing one final warning over her shoulder. "Stay away from him."

The door slammed behind her, and as soon as she was out of sight, Y/N slumped in her chair, her body going limp like jelly. The adrenaline was draining from her all at once. She couldn't believe she had just spoken up like that. What just happened?

Yuki, however, was grinning from ear to ear. "Oh. My. Gosh. Y/N! You were amazing!" she cheered, practically bouncing in her seat. "I've never seen you like that before! I'm so proud of you!"

Y/N let out a shaky laugh, her nerves still on edge. "I... I don't even know what came over me. I was so scared!"

"You didn't look scared. You looked like a total boss!" Yuki praised, giving her a playful punch on the shoulder. "But seriously, what's up with that girl? Does she think she owns Akaashi or something?"

Y/N sighed, rubbing her temples. "I don't know. She's... really persistent. I didn't mean to get involved in anything like this."

Yuki leaned closer, smirking. "But you like him, don't you?"

Y/N's face immediately heated up. "I—I don't know what you're talking about!"

Yuki raised an eyebrow. "Oh, come on. You're drawing his face all the time, blushing every time he talks to you, and now this crazy girl is coming at you like a jealous girlfriend. You gotta step up your game, Y/N!"

Before Y/N could respond, the bell rang, signaling the start of the next class. She sighed in relief, thankful for the distraction.

Later that day, Y/N made her way to the art room after classes, hoping to find some peace. She sat down in front of her easel, ready to continue working on her painting of Akaashi. It was almost done—the careful strokes she'd spent hours on capturing his expression just right. This painting is important to me... she thought, a small smile forming on her face. I wonder what he'd think if he saw it.

But as she approached the easel, her heart dropped.

Her painting—her almost-finished portrait of Akaashi—was ruined.

Thick, ugly strokes of black paint marred the canvas, slashing across his face and distorting the carefully crafted details she had spent weeks on. Y/N stared at it in shock, her mind blank as she tried to process what had happened.

On the ground beside the easel was a small note. She bent down to pick it up, her hands shaking.

Stay away from him.

The note was simple, but the message was clear. It was from Eri.

Y/N's chest tightened as she stared at the ruined painting, her emotions swirling into a storm of sadness, frustration, and doubt. How far is she willing to go just to win over Akaashi?

She sat down heavily in front of the ruined painting, staring at it as if hoping it would magically fix itself. Her thoughts were in disarray. Should I just... stay away from him? Maybe Eri's right. Maybe I don't have a chance...

The room was painfully silent. She didn't know what to do. This was supposed to be her surprise for Akaashi—a way to show him how much she admired him. But now, it was ruined, just like her confidence.

That evening, Y/N texted Akaashi. She couldn't bring herself to tell him what had happened. Instead, she made an excuse.

She stared at the message for a moment before sending it, feeling a pang of guilt in her chest. She didn't want to push him away, but right now, she needed space to sort out her thoughts. Maybe it's better this way...

A few moments later, her phone buzzed with Akaashi's reply.

Akaashi💙

His message was simple, but kind. And yet, it made her feel even more conflicted. How am I supposed to stay away from him when he's always so considerate?

Y/N sighed, setting her phone down and gazing at the ruined painting one last time. What do I do now?
