After speedy finishes his lettuce, Aries starts to contemplate. no way in hell he can KILL A DOG?! That's just evil. He could never! Why did he make a deal with that thing?! He feels anxiety bubble up in him. He's fucked if he doesn't do it!
Aries' breathing quickens as he turns around. How do I painlessly kill a dog?! do I use a knife, and make it quick?! Do I strangle it? Do I feed it chocolate?! Yeah! I'll feed it chocolate! I'll make it look as if he got into the garbage.. Yeah! Perfect!
He smiles to himself, and immediately feels guilty. He looks down and speedy, grabbing him, and walking back to his room. Once speedy is in his home, he turns around and sighs. His mom got chocolate recently, so he can just use that!
Aries feels his skin crawl at the idea, but! He already made the deal, and he's scared of what will happen if he chickens out.
He turns back around and walks back to the kitchen, rummaging through the cabinets and grabbing 2 bars of chocolate. He scrunches his face and walks to the trash bin, grabbing a few chip bags and random cans. He's gotta make it at least SOMEWHAT believable, right?!
Aries clenches his jaw and walks to the backdoor, opening it and walking out. "Am I REALLY gonna do this? What if the shadow monster is just a part of my imagination? What if it's a coincidence that I didn't have a nightmare while I was asleep?" He thinks to himself.
Aries is about to turn back around, but he sees the shadow again, peering at him.. Aries turns back around immediately. "Welp.. guess he is real.. or I'm just seeing things again! Yeah seeing things..!" He thinks to himself as he clenches his jaw tighter.
He feels a sudden gust of cold wind hit him. He turns right back around and there the shadow is.. staring down at him. Aries almost screams as he takes a stumbled step back, looking up at it. I suppose he got his answer.
It vanishes as fast as it appeared. Aries gulps and turns back around yet again, sneakily walking behind the neighbors fence. They have a broken piece of fence there, so it's easy to crawl through.
The dog barks as Aries makes his way inside. Aries just stares at the fluffy dog. No way he can kill it! But, he feels as if he doesn't have a choice. He's scared of the consequences that might come.
He hastily walks towards the dog, opening the chocolate bars and tossing them to the small, aggressive dog. It sniffs it, licks it, and eats it. Aries can't help but feel a wave of guilt watching the unknowing puppy eat its last piece of food.
he throws the pieces of trash around the dog as he runs back to the broken piece of fence. He still feels immense guilt as he runs back to the backdoor, slipping inside the house. Did he really just bring early death to the small, loving dog?? Over a stupid shadow?? What if the shadow isn't even real, and it's a figment of his imagination??
