"Hey, are you Atty. Kwong?"
Ling turned towards the source of the voice and saw a young lady beaming at her, her forehead furrowing in confusion. The woman was not familiar to her but it's obvious that the girl knew her, so she stopped walking and gave her a reserved smile.
"Hi. How may i help you?" She respectfully asked.
"Ow, how rude of me. I'm Mei. I don't know if you still remember but you were the attorney of my mom years ago during a civil case, the one that was appealed.." the young woman explained and midway, she heard a tone of awkwardness, like she's hesitant if she'll continue with her introduction.
"Oh, that civil case against a textile manufacturer?" She confirmed. Before moving back to Bangkok, She only handled one case around the country's capital, and that was during Orm's graduation. A sad excuse for her to see the woman she loves go up on stage. A simple treat for herself for passing the bar exam even though it was already years too late during that time. "I remember.."
It seemed like Mei's face lit up upon hearing it, "Yeah, i think I've met you in the court before. Anyways, I'm a Professor here in the university, are you an alumni here?"
Ling nodded and continued her walk, albeit a bit slower since she had company. "Yes. Though this is my first time stepping in the Uni after four years i think?" She said, smiling a little.
"Oh, sorry if I'm interrupting your reminiscing, Attorney." The Professor smiled at her and Ling shook her head.
