M: "Oh god. Marjorie just be cool, be cool, be cool, for god sake. you're a manager, you're a manager of a nursery, you know what you're doing, just be cool, be cool."
J: "Hi, you must be Marjorie."
M: "Yes I'm Marjorie, and you must be Janice."
J: "Mhm, its lovely to finally meet you, I've heard so much about you."
M: "Oh well, all good I hope, truth be told ive heard nothing about you."
J: "Well that's really what this meeting is all about isn't it? Getting to know one another."
M: "Yes, yes, um I mean if I'm being honest I've been a little bit apprehensive about this meeting."
J: "Why?"
M: "The way you worded it in the email about not wanting to dicuss anything, you know over email it only had to be face to face, made me worry this was going to be a bit confrontational."
J: "No not at all, the reason I wanted to discuss it face to face rather then via email is becuase things can get lost in translation that way and I didn't want us to, misunderstand eachother and then get off on the wrong foot, considering we're going to be working together."
M: "Oh god, thank god. Phew. Honestly when I was reading that email I thought I was going to meet you and you're going to be like you know.. crazy"
J: "See and that's why we had to meet in person so there was no misunderstandings between us."
M: "I think meeting in person was a fab idea, in face you are completely different to how I imagined you to be."
J: "Oh really? In what way?"
M: "Roger said that you and him go way back and considering what a turd bag he is, I was expecting you to be kind of cut from the same cloth, but you know, your nothing like that, I thought you're gonna be very scary."
J: "I'm not scary I promise you."
M: "No you are absolutely lovely, and obviously we're here to discuss you know, who should be manager becuase Rogers left it up to us."
J: "I understand reece took himself out of the running."
M: "Yes obviously he's only been manager for a few months so he was happy to just step back and support me, because I've been manager for quite a few years."
J: "Well that was very good of him."
M: "He is a good egg, so look I've worked in the nursery for 15 years, I've been manager for many of those, um I understand you worked in the nursery for just shy of eight, is that right?"
J: "Mm, that's right."
M: "Okay well if I can be Frank, I would love nothing more then to manage this new nursery but with your full support."
J: "mm."
M: "And also becuase of this merge, its so important for you and I to have a great working relationship."
