The room swirled around you, your body struggling to keep up with the sudden movement. The walls shifted and blurred, throwing off your balance and disorienting your senses. You stumbled forward, trying to grasp onto something stable, but the room continued its warping.

But you finally regained your footing, and you found yourself standing in front of the desk. It was much closer now, allowing you to see every detail of Viktor's struggle. His body was covered in bloody marks and strange runes that you couldn't identify. He held a metal tool in his hand, using it to carve even more symbols into his leg brace. A shiver ran down your spine as you watched him work, the intensity in his expression sending chills through your body. He set the tool down and picked up another one, this time containing a shiny purple liquid. Your heart raced as you recognized the substance - Shimmer, a highly addictive drug from the Undercity. But you shouldn't have known that, you were sure no one had mentioned it to you. Yet the knowledge was there, there was no denying your certainty.

His breath came out in shaky, uneven gasps as he brought the injector to his leg. His hands trembled as he positioned it, sweat beading on his forehead. With one final exhale, he plunged the needle into his thigh. A deep groan fell from his lips, quickly turning into a raw scream as the purple liquid spread through his body like wildfire. His eyes glowed a bright purple - the sound of his screams freezing you to your core.

You wanted to move, do something, anything, to help but you were stuck. The only thing you could do was watch on in horror as Viktor sliced open his palm, the sharp edge of the blade creating a deep gash that immediately began to bleed. He clutched his hand in a bloody fist, hesitating as he gasped for air. With a slow and shaky hand, he reached out for the orb, its metal exterior twisting and turning in response, emitting a high-pitched whine as if it were eager for Viktor's blood.

Despite your horror, you couldn't tear your eyes away as Viktor opened his hand and allowed his blood to flow into the orb. It greedily sucked it in, almost hungrily, like a greedy beast sucking the bones of its prey dry.

In a state of panic, Viktor's screams pierced the air as he desperately tried to pull his hand away from the glowing orb. But the light purple wave emanating from it seemed to have a hold on him, pulling him in like a helpless fish caught on a hook. His hand made contact with the orb, causing the runes etched into his skin to illuminate with the same eerie purple glow. The light grew brighter and more blinding, Viktor's screams echoing off the walls of the empty room and surrounding you like a haunting melody. You turned away, shielding your eyes from the intense light as tears streamed down your cheeks. You closed your eyes tightly and gripped your arm in front of your face for protection.

Just as suddenly as it had appeared, the sound cut out and the light disappeared, leaving you standing where you had been before the terrifying vision had taken hold. Your heart beat in your throat, the taste of bile coating your tongue, and your breath came in short gasps as you slowly lowered your arm.

The three individuals in the lab stood up in unison, their eyes wide and mouths agape as they stared at you as if you were an alien creature with two heads. Their expressions ranged from disbelief to shock to confusion, all directed toward you like laser beams. The fluorescent lights above glinted off the shiny surfaces of various scientific equipment scattered around the room, doing little to help your scattered thoughts.

Concern laced her voice, Sky asked with gentle eyes, "Are you alright?" She walked over to where you stood, placing a comforting hand on your arm.

"Yes, sorry, just got light-headed there for a second," you mumbled, keeping your eyes trained on the floor, focused on remaining upright. You glanced at Viktor, the bewilderment on his face a good indication that your eyes had glowed blue again. You looked away sharply, his screams still ringing in your ears.
