"Do you remember where you live?" Mizuki asked as we walked down the quiet road.

"I know what the area looks like but... I dont know the address." I respond.

" Hm alright if any locals pass by I'll ask if they have seen a shrine around here."

I give him a slight smile and we continue walking.

" I've been meaning to ask this but.. you.. are a land god.. right?"

" Well.. kinda. I Don't have my own shrine.. and I dont know my abilities so you can't really call me a god when I can't even help people."

"That's weird.. I don't think that land gods can be land gods without land."

I chuckle at his words "That rhymes."

"Yea it does" he says while join in the laughter.

"But still.. without a shrine how are you able to still be here."

" I'm not sure, even my existence is a mystery." I say while sighing.

" I also think it's because maybe me and nanami share the same shrine." I add.

" Nanami?" He asks

"Yea she's also a god and her familiar is tomoe... The one I like" I say akwardly.

"Ohhh I see. That's a bit of a pinch. What if she starts liking him too?"

" I know... And I've thought of it. I know its gonna happen and I don't want to hurt her feelings when it happens but If they ever got together then... I feel like I would have lost at everything.

"Well that's not true. If that does happen you can just find another fish, you know what they say. There are plenty of fish in the sea." Mizuki states.

" But I want this fishh though" I pout.

He chuckles at the statement and we continue walking.

We arrive at a small shop with an old man there.

"Excuse me, hi have you seen any nearby shines around the area?." I ask him?

" The only shrine I know is the one down the road and up the hill." He responds.

"The hill..?" I ask.

"Yes" He walks away for a second and then comes back with a paper.

"Here I made a small map for you." He handed it to me and walked back into his shop.

" Thank you" I say

We walk away from the store and follow the map until I see some familiar buildings.

I start walking faster towards the direction of the shrine and stop when I see it in the distance.

I turn to talk to mizuki but he's gone.

"Mizuki?" I call out, but nobody answers.

I sigh and brush it off walking towards the shrine door.

I open it to see nanami getting ready for school. As she turned to face me her eyes widened.

She suddenly ran to me crying like she had just found her lost dog.

"Y/nnnnn" nanami sobbed.

"I'm sorry I left.. I was a bit upset."

" It's okay I know that tomoe was probably being a jerk to you" She said in-between sobbing and crying.

"I'm just glad your okay now." She added.
