Cale fixed a stern gaze upon Venion and the lackey before gently resting a hand on Choi Han's shoulder.

"You too." He said firmly.

"But-" Choi Han began to protest.

Cale understood Choi Han's frustration. This place bore a striking resemblance to Harris Village, his second home. He seethed at the thought of these individuals needlessly endangering others, yet he showed no hint of remorse or apology.

However, the victim, an elderly man, found himself unable to summon anger, lacking Choi Han's support.

"They could have chosen a different path, but instead, they recklessly endangered others," Choi Han remarked, his tone grave. "How can I let this slide?"

"Choi Han." Cale continued, exerting gentle pressure on his shoulder.

"Stay calm."

Choi Han's dark eyes met Cale's, the fury within them tempered by the weight of his memories from Harris Village.

Satisfied that Choi Han was gradually regaining composure, Cale shifted his attention to Venion Stan.

With his beautiful blonde hair cascading down his shoulders and a faint smile gracing his lips, he stood before him. His outfit was impeccable, every fold neatly pressed without a single crease in sight. His boots, too, were pristine, devoid of any scuff marks. Yet, what drew Cale's attention was the subtle stain of red at the hem of Venion's otherwise pristine white shirt.

«Looks like he got a bit too close to the action, watching the Black Dragon's torture.» Cale thought to himself, a tinge of disdain creeping into his mind.

Venion Stan, the man before him, was known for his unsettling enjoyment of gruesome spectacles, relishing his meals while witnessing the agony of others.

Cale shifted his gaze away from Venion, directing his attention towards Basen, silently signaling him to handle the encounter. Having just pacified Choi Han, he lacked the patience to deal with someone like Venion.

"Delighted to make your acquaintance, Young Master Basen." Venion greeted with a polite smile.

"Likewise, Young Master Venion Stan." Basen replied, his tone courteous but guarded.

It was no surprise that Venion was familiar with them. His ascent to the position of heir had not been an easy one, and his demeanor reflected his rough edges.

Venion had the kind of smile that seemed friendly on the surface but left a lingering feeling of revulsion in its wake.

"I had no particular reason to venture into this area, merely heard tales. Though I heard that there was someone in the Count's family who was a free spirit and who did not resemble to that of a nobleman." Venion remarked, his gaze briefly flickering towards Cale. It was a calculated look, one that hinted at provocation.
