"I don't know what he's talking about, everything's fine." He responded in a relaxed manner.

Basen stared at Cale, he seemed even angrier.

"How can you say that?" He whispered in a low voice in disbelief.

"Don't worry, I'm really fine."

Cale tried to deflect the conversation, he obviously knew what Basen was talking about but he didn't want to talk about it right now it would be really bad if everyone knew about his condition. He must be able to move around without problem.

Basen tried to keep calm as he saw Cale continue to speak but he really wanted to punch him and it got worse as soon as he opened his mouth. Well he will have looked for it.

"Of course you're fine, you're just dying. Nothing really important!"

The whole room freezes in shock at Basen's words.

Everyone in the Henituse family looked at him in shock, thinking he was joking, or so they hoped.

"Basen, what are you talking about?"

"I barely found out too and he's trying to hide it!"

His gaze then turned to Cale. Asking him to say something.

"It's all lies, I'm fine." Of course he refused but Deruth still doubted after all it wouldn't be the first time that Cale hid something from them but now...

"I don't lie, especially about something like this, why even would I?" Basen a looked at Cale but the anger was gone, all that was left was sadness and fear.

Everyone could see real distress from young master Basen. Maybe he was telling the truth then but why and how could it be true that this is even happening? Young Master Cale is going to die?!

And that's all it took for the entire Henituse county to find itself in chaos never seen before in the entire kingdom of Roan.

Cale was taken back to his room immediately after this and told not to leave it. His family wanted to first make sure he was really okay before letting him go.

He lay in bed resigned to his fate, the children were still with him. He stroked them absently, he wasn't too worried until now no doctor had found anything. So he will soon be free again.

Shortly after, he heard someone knocking on his door. It was definitely her father, he had told her to wait in her room. Certainly other doctors. Cale sighed but got up from his bed to open the door.

Cale knew Deruth was crazy about his family but he didn't imagine it was this bad.

He looked in disbelief at the people outside his door, several doctors it was something expected but this time he summoned more priests and judging by the different clothes in addition to the different symbols they were linked to different gods . In addition to the presence of Basen and Violan, only his sister was missing.

Cale looked at his present father with trembling eyes.

"Is this really necessary?"

" Certainly." Deruth definitely wasn't going to let Basen's words slide.

He could see the other members of his family nodding behind him. Cale sighed inwardly before letting everyone in.

He sat on his bed waiting for someone to speak.

An old man walked in front of the group and given his clothes, he was surely a priest of the god of death.

Cale felt bad seeing this man's gaze on him, he seemed to see right through him. And his feelings were correct once he spoke.

"Sir, I sense traces of death on your son."

Cale wasn't really surprised, a priest of the god of death could surely feel the death wishes he passed in addition to the traces of the god of death on his body after meeting him several times, nothing 'surprising here.

He didn't see the messy looks of his mother and father otherwise he certainly wouldn't have thought that.

Violan has already approached her trembling husband to make him sit down, his face had turned pale. Basen didn't say anything, he already knew that.

" What do you mean ? "Deruth asked with a trembling voice, he at the same time took his wife's hand in his to try to calm himself down. The Henituse couple were now sitting on the bedroom couch impatiently waiting for more explanation.

"I feel the presence of the power of the god of death on his body but I won't say the reason. If the young master will let me check his body. I might be able to provide you with more details."

Deruth looked at Cale begging him to do it. But he hesitated, he felt that it was not a good idea, this priest was dangerous for his future plans.

"There's no need, I made a death wish with a certain someone. This must be how you feel. But I can't tell you any details about this wish."

"It's true, it's possible that it comes from a past wish, but it's far too strong for it to come only from a simple wish."

The priest explained and Cale found himself trapped in front of everyone.

Even the various people represented looked at him with some curiosity.

Cale just avoided everyone and kept away from the man.

"I refuse to do it."

"Cale please." The count tried again to speak to him still calmly.

"..."

"Cale !"

"..."

"You have to leave soon, right? I'll cancel your departure if you don't." Deruth tried to pressure his son in this way but it was not very successful.

After another silence, Deruth just continued to look at Cale but Cale didn't move.

"I'll find a way to leave."

"Why are you so stubborn about this if you have nothing to hide?"

"..."

The quieter he was the more suspicious Deruth became, his behavior proved Basen right. He seemed to be hiding something.

"Cale, we're just worried about you, I've neglected your health for far too long, I don't want to do that anymore. I want you to be okay."

The Count was sincere but Cale couldn't give in, he had too much to do to be delayed by something like that.

" I'm doing well "

"Cale, I think he's right. You should listen to it, I am also worried."The Countess tried to help her husband, she knew she had no right over him but she had to try.

"It's not necessary, there's nothing."

"You leave me no choice, you are confined to your room until you accept."

Cale frowned at the words and fixed his gaze on Deruth.

"I am not a child."

"Yet you act just like you do now!" He started to raise his voice a little without meaning to.

"You won't stop me from going out if I want to."

"Of course I can!"

While the two were arguing, the old priest took the opportunity to approach Cale.

Everyone was too busy with distraction to care about him. Cale reacted to him when he felt a hand on his shoulder. But it was too late to push him away, he was already using his divine powers on his body.
