"How do you even know that?" The old man was in disbelief how a little priestess could know so much about divine powers?!

Of course it was ignored.

"Do you know what's going on with him?"

"Yes, but I-"

Before Cage could explain, one of the doctors shouted.

"His pulse is really weak no matter what you do but you need to do it quickly. We tried to stabilize him or do something for him but nothing worked. We're going to lose him at this rate!"

"Please help him!" Basen decided to help Cage, they had become friends and he trusted him.

She just nodded and got to work, her hands were quickly surrounded by black mist, the divine powers of the god of death.

"I thought it was dangerous?" Basen asked Cage.

"Not if it's done correctly, and he's already told me what to do. I just need to reestablish the connection, broken by an idiot."

The idiot in question wanted to get angry with her but was stopped by Basen.

"Okay, I trust you."

All eyes now focused on Cage who was focused on his task, the god of death guiding him to reconnect everything.

"We will explain to you later but she will save Hyung, I trust her."

The Henituse couple said nothing; they trusted their son.

Doctors took note of Cale's condition over time.

"There hasn't been any effect yet, his pulse is decreasing, he's barely breathing anymore..."

"I just need a little more time..." Cage muttered, it was difficult for him to use his powers for so long and precisely. Her forehead was covered in sweat and her hands were shaking but she didn't let go, this man had saved her friend. She would be forever grateful to him. That's why she didn't hesitate to come when she heard the god of death speak to her about the young master's condition.

The tension was thick in the room, the Henituse family prayed to the gods that their eldest would survive while the others wondered about the power they could sense from a priestess who apparently was no longer part of a church but she certainly felt the powers of death.

The doctors were as anxious as the Henituses, they didn't know if she would succeed in treating the young master in time.

A doctor kept his hand on the young master's wrist to check his pulse but it was gradually decreasing.

" It's good !"

" It's necessary-"

The doctor and Cage spoke at the same time one in panic and the other with joy, he was going to announce that he no longer felt his heart but with the woman's words his pulse returned. He breathed in relief.

"Will he be better now?" Violan asked Cage.

"No, his condition has not changed. He's in the same state as before the idiot intervened."

"Can you explain the situation to us further?"

"Sure, but-" She looked at the people in the room before continuing. The countess understood his hesitation.

She decided to send the various priests away, thanking them for their help. Although reluctant, they left only the one of the god of death did not seem to want to do so.

"Excuse me ma'am but this concerns my lord and the young master seems to have a close connection with him. I would like to stay and learn more about this connection."

Both the Henituse family and Cage frowned at these words.

"My son is still in critical condition and it looks like some of that is your fault. I don't think you have any say here."

"I understand but I didn't know this was going to happen and it was you yourself who summoned me. I would really like to stay, the young master may be very important to the Churches of the God of Death."

Everyone's frown got worse, this man clearly had bad intentions.

"Are you looking to gain prestige on the back of the young master? A simple priest to find a holy hide. The young master is not his holy and never will be." Cage patiently explained to her and she was sure of his words. She remembered the first thing he said to her when he saw her, he clearly would never accept holy's position.

Before he could continue, Violan summoned the guards to take him out. He protested, shouting that he could not leave the young master alone. The cries were ignored and the priest was gone. But he was not going to let this pass, he would have to speak with the king, it is of capital importance for the kingdom.

" How is he ?" His gaze passed over the doctors.

"He's fine, now we just have to wait for him to wake up."

"Very well, thank you for your help, you can leave us. We will call you if anything happens again."

They then left, leaving more than Cage and the Henituses.

"Okay now I want to know everything."

Cage explained to them all like she did to Basen, also telling them about the effect of the ancient powers.

The Henituse couple's faces quickly turned white at this. Their son was truly dying and it seemed like there was nothing they could even do.

"Can we do anything to help him?"Deruth asked desperately.

"He must take care of his health and not use these powers. The god of death needs time to find a solution, the young master should not die before then."

A tired sigh was heard, their eyes passed to the young master Basen.

"I already tried but he doesn't listen to me, even when I want to help him. I need to force him to take a break so he can rest."

"He has to make a trip by tomorrow, can we stop him from leaving?" The count seemed to be looking for a way to restrict his son's movements.

While they were talking an unamused Cale faced the god of death who once again wore an apologetic face.

"Did you forget to tell me something again?"

"I thought you knew that!"

"How am I even supposed to know about something like that?!"

"You came to this world because of my powers, even my mistake is because of my powers."

"That doesn't explain anything at all!" He was really upset.

"*sigh* Okay, I left some of my power in your body so as not to make your condition worse. But these powers were affected, fortunately someone intervened beforehand."

"Shouldn't I have suffered with the death wishes then?"

"No, wishes don't work the same way."

"Can't you just increase that bond or something to fix the situation?"

"A human's body won't take it, but I'll find another way."

Cale just sighed, he always said the same things but with no results.

"Regarding...the position of holy ?..." He was hesitant in his words and a little afraid. He could already see that Cale was angry with him.

"I thought your powers were dangerous?" Cale asked him like he was an idiot.

"Yes, but when everything is settled. You could become my Saint."

" No never. Now go to work and let me rest." Cale dismissed the annoying god.

In return he had a sad, almost crying look but he ignored it.

" Leave me alone !"

"Fine..." He sighed in defeat and left.

Cale was then able to rest the rest of the day.
