Chapter 1 : Tuesday 10/09 : Wen's day
He woke up to a dusty smell of coffee. Right next to him, the cold mug made a stain on the wooden floor of his appartement. For a few minutes, he didn't move.
Until something growled, and it was his stomach. He tried to avoid as much trash as possible as he made his way to the kitchen. The kitchen, which was only ten feet away, was the cleanest part of the appartement. It was barely used after all.
Wen shoved the last piece of pizza from last night in his mouth before throwing the box on the floor, with the rest of its peers.
Although his place was far from perfect, Wen actually believed in personal hygiene. He refused to go a day without washing his face first. The cold water woke something up in him.
What if he started looking for a job today?
Wen knew a lot about the outside world thanks to his computer. He remembered seeing a post for the deli on the street corner. Being a delivery man isn't a dream job, but it can pay more than just pizzas.
Wen took his jacket. Looks at himself in the mirror. Put the jacket back.
Did he really need money for more than just pizza? His battle pass was still running until the end of the year.
Wen sat at his computer with a sigh of relief. He scrolled through social media for a bit. His life always felt better when he saw all the stuff people must go through outside. Some scary things as jobs interviews or parties.
Wen never really like going out. He might have overdone himself recently, it's been a few days since his life seems to be repeating itself. But Wen was sure of one thing, nothing was out of his control between those walls. He wouldn't lose anything as long as he stayed inside, not bothering anyone, eating pizzas and playing video games.
He was quite happy that way. So, on this day, he played Valorant with his mic muted for three hours, League of Legends for two and ended up all night on Minecraft building a self-sustainable ranch that could solve world hunger.
Wen went to sleep at 4 A.M feeling satisfied and smart. Good thing the world didn't see him much. He was too good for it anyway.
Chapter 1 : Tuesday 10/09 : Wen's thoughts
I wake up to the smell of cold coffee. My mug is right where I put it yesterday. Or was it the day before that? My eyes linger for a few minutes, my head rested on the mattress.
The mug made a stain on the wooden floor. I mean, I'm guessing based on the mark on the mug. It's not like I can see the floor anyway with all this mess.
I get up, sore from the too little sleep I got. I try to avoid as much trash as possible as I make my way to the kitchen. The kitchen, which is ten feet away, is the cleanest part of the apartment. I'm not too big of a cook, I usually order online. Thankfully, last night, I wasn't too hungry and left a big piece of pizza in the microwave.
After breakfast, I usually wash my face. I hate the feeling of sticky eyelids. I spent too much time gaming last night. I should really get a job.
The deli at the corner is looking for a delivery man from what I saw online. I grab my jacket. Look in the mirror. Put my jacket back.
