"Isobel Dove Hale!" Lucky Flickerman announced to the audience. "Come on out here with that guitar, Butterfly!"

The sixteen year old girl stepped out on the stage as the audience applauded loudly. She stood behind the microphone, glancing around at the audience in front of her. She could barley see anyone because of the bright lights flashing at her.

She looked down at the guitar Coriolanus gifted to her.

Coriolanus.

She didn't know if he was dead or alive. She hadn't seen him since the explosion at the arena. Isobel Dove hoped he was alive. She prayed he was alive. He was the only one who could get her to survive the games.

There was another reason she hoped he was alive, it was hard for Isobel Dove to admit. But the reason was  she grew romantic feelings for him, even though they knew each other for a short time. She knew it was ridiculous. She was going to die.

And he'll never know how she felt....

"Good evening, Capital. Districts." Isobel Dove spoke into the microphone, time to make the fools pity her. "I wrote this song a few months back and i figured someone should hear it."

Of course the song was going to be sad, she had written it specifically to get the Capitols sympathy...But the Capital didn't need to know that . Isobel Dove closed her eyes taking a deep breath before opening them.

"They say happiness is a butterfly, Soft as a whisper, lost in the sky. I reached too high, I held too tight, Now it's fading in the frozen white."

Her voice started off soft, her gaze lingered on the audience, their attention was solely on her.

"The snow falls quiet, the world stands still, A love that burns should never chill. But winter came and took my name, And nothing warm can stay the same."

Unbeknownst to Isobel Dove Coriolanus was also watching her interview, intently, from his hospital room while his mind raced with thoughts.

"Happiness is a butterfly, But the frost came early and kissed it goodbye. I loved you once, I love you still, But love can't live when the world is ill."

Isobel Dove's voice grew slightly louder as her fingers worked on the guitar as if it was second nature, she had missed this, singing.

"I swore I'd chase the sun and light, That love would save me, make me right. But hands like ice, a silver chain, Turned love to longing, joy to pain."

If only she hadn't let sadness take over her, then maybe she would have had more time to sing, to do more shows, spread her truth through melodies.

"The snow keeps falling, the roads erase, No way back, no warm embrace. I see you now, I know your name, Winter never melts away."
